Si j'étais toi, j'essaierai de supprimer le dossier .beryl qui doit se trouver dans ton home.

J'ai noté 2 options supplémentaires chez moi que tu devrais essayer ("TripleBuffer" "true" et "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True")
Edit: Je viens de voir qu'il existe un fichier .beryl-managerrc. Avant de toucher à ton xorg.conf essaie de le supprimer et de redémarrer.

t'as installé le paquet emerald-themes (pas sur de l'ortho)?

Pour résoudre le problème des fenêtres noires tu peux régler beryl en mode copy (c'est à dire sans Texture From Pixmap).
Pour cela bouton droit sur le diamant > Options avancées de Beryl > Type de rendu > Copy.
Par contre ca risque d'être plus lent qu'en TFP. A toi de voir
