dual screen et ATI 9200SE

bonjour à tous

j'ai besoin pour effectuer mes travaux en pao plus confortablement d'installer un affichage sur deux ecrans.

cela fait plusieurs semaines que je tente divers methodes trouvé sur les differents forum ubuntu ainsi que sur les pages de documentation mais rien n'y fait apres redemarrage tout ce que j'ai pu tester plante

derniere tentative hier soldé par un nouvel echec : j'ai suivi toute la doc pour installer xgl et compiz

pas simple l'histoire !!:/

faut il imperativement que les deux ecrans soit de la meme taille ? ( lcd 17" et 15")
actuellement ils fonctionnent en mode clone (ça s"est fait automatiquement apres connection du 15" et redemarage du systeme) et la seul  resolution possible est de 1024x768
