Différences énormes de FPS entre session XGL et session Gnome
Bonjour,
je rencontre des gros problèmes sous ma session XGL alors que sous une session Gnome tout passe nickel
Par exemple, sous ma sessions Xorg, lorsque je fais un "fgl_glxgears" j'obtiens :
Using GLX_SGIX_pbuffer
9799 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1959.800 FPS
10778 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2155.600 FPS
Sous la session XGL, ca donne :
Using GLX_SGIX_pbuffer
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":1.0".
Error: couldn't get fbconfig
Le pire, se situe au niveau de la commande "glxgears" sous la sessions Gnome :
56352 frames in 5.0 seconds = 11270.301 FPS
56524 frames in 5.0 seconds = 11304.755 FPS
Et sous XGL ca passe à :
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":1.0".
22371 frames in 5.0 seconds = 4462.616 FPS
Un fglrxinfo sous une session Gnome ou XGL donne toujours :
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: Radeon X1950 Series
OpenGL version string: 2.0.6458 (8.36.5)
Bref, je ne sais pas trop quoi faire surtout que beryl fonctionne sous ma session XGL, mais le problème est qu'au bout de quelques heures d'utilisations, les animations rament et je suis obligé de rédemarrer X pour retourner sous une session correcte. Même en arrettant beryl et en choisissant Metacity, l'ouverture et la fermeture des fenêtres est extrêment lente.
Quelqu'un aurait déjà t-il eu le même problème ?
Je possède une ATI X1950 Pro avec les drivers 8.36.5 installés avec Envy

Essaye Compiz fusion sinon. Chez moi c'est salvateur, compiz tourne bien mieux. C'est à tes risques et périls néanmoins, on est encore en développement...

Je suis sur Compiz Fusion en attente des derniers MAJ git
Bon avec compiz fusion effectivement beaucoup moins de problèmes mais malheureusement ca continue quand même de temps.
Plus le temps avance (et les versions évoluent), moins ca le fait souvent. Suite aux différentes MAJ du driver XGL, ca ramait déjà un peu moins souvent et puis avec compiz fusion ca m arrive une fois tous les 2 jours mais bon c'est beaucoup moins génant.
T'as quoi comme CG ?
