[Feisty Ati FGLRX] ok depuis une install propre, nok après migration

Bonjour à tous !

Je dois dire que je suis assez perplexe depuis ma migration vers Feisty. J'ai une machine sous Edgy réglée aux p'tits oignons, je me vois mal refaire une install propre. J'ai donc migré. Très bonne surprise, dès mon arrivée sous gnome, les effets du bureaux fonctionnent, beryl s'installe très facilement et je retrouve mes marques. Seulement voilà, beryl avec une carte ati en aiglx, ca fonctionne, mais certains effets que j'aime sont indisponibles (flou) et en plus c'est très instable ... Etant donné que c'est ma machine de travail, je ne peux pas rester ainsi.

Je décide donc de revenir à mon ancienne config, installation de fglrx puis beryl dans une session gnome xgl. Déjà l'outil de drivers proprio m'informe qu'aucun pilote n'existe pour ma carte (une ati firegl rv320). Ah bon ! j'installe donc manuellement xorg-driver-fglrx. Mais je me retrouve confronté à un problème de DRI. J'ai déjà une bonne expérience de Compiz/Beryl, j'identifie le problème comme étant surement un flag aiglx à mettre à off, ou un composite, mais non.

J'abandonne et je me décide à revenir à l'exacte config d'avant, drivers proprio ati. Seulement là aussi galère, il faut patcher le noyau pour utiliser la dernière version, et après bien du boulot même constat !

Je laisse donc tomber et je reviens en aiglx sous gnome ...

Puis ce soir je prends ma machine perso, j'installe feisty, ca prend 1/2 heure. Arrivée sous le bureau, aiglx fonctionne. Je mets beryl, je vais dans le gestionnaire de pilotes proprios, il me propose des pilotes (ati x850xt) je les installe, je crée une session xgl en installant le serveur xgl, reboot, et hop c'est fini je suis en xgl.

Alors je fais appel à vos compétences. Est ce que le seul problème vient comme je le pense du fait de ma migration depuis Edgy ? J'ai bien l'impression que ma Firegl, qui est grosso modo une ati 9700, bien plus ancienne que ma x850xt donc, a des drivers proprio et devrait installer xgl au moins aussi facilement. Auriez vous des pistes pour expliquer pourquoi ces drivers ne me sont pas proposés, et pourquoi il m'est impossible d'installer fglrx ?

Merci d'avance pour toute l'aide que vous serez en mesure de me fournir. J'écume les forums fr en anglais mais je ne parviens pas à comprendre ce qui cloche

PS: xorg.conf et compagnie seront fournis si nécessaire d'ici mercredi, et oui, je fais le pont mais je peux répondre aux questions.

Il semblerait que mon problème n'inspire personne ! Sauriez vous si la firegl v1 fait partie des cartes ati supportées par ubuntu et donc devant proposer un pilote proprio dans l'outil à cet effet, ou alors s'il est normal que je n'ai rien à ce niveau ?

Ca m'avancerait déjà énormément dans mes recherches pour trouver une solution à mon problème
