plantage serveurx aprés instal driver ati

bonjour,

je suis sous kubuntu edgy eft et j'essai désespérémnet d'installer les drivers ati (8.35.5) pour ma carte graphique radéon 9700 pro mais ça ne fonctionne pas !

installation des drivers ->OK  redémarrage et au momement ou je devrais voir apparaitre le pointeur de la souris l'écran reste noir et le pc est bolqué.
je redémarre en "mode sans echec" , je regarde le fichier Xorg.0.log -> pas d'erreur sgnificative.
Je commente les lignes suivantes dans le fichier xorg.conf

#Section "Extensions"
#	Option	    "Composite" "disable"
#EndSection

Je redémarrage, et le pc démarre. Je n'ai pas la 3D mais il boot.

j'ai essayé plein de méthodes pour l'installation des drivers (automatique, manuel, envy) mais aucune ne fonctionne.

Aidez moi s'il vous plait.
Je découvre linux et n'y connait pas grand chose !

Salut, c' est quoi ton écran ?

Et est-ce que quand ton ordi ne démarre pas sur l' interface graphique, tu as quand mème la possibilité de taper quelque chose comme sur un terminal ?


Une coquille est, par essence, assez contradictoire car sans le q c'est une couille.

malheureusement non je ne peux rien taper

en fait c'est au moment ou le curseur de la souris doit s'afficher que l'écran reste noir et le disque dur gratte quelques secondes et le pc se bloque

j'ai essayé de faire ctrl+alt+f1 avant que ça plante mais pas de console !
est ce qu'il y a un fichier log ou je pourrais voir l'erruer qui se produit ? a part le fichier xorg.0.log où il n'y a pas d'erreur significtive.

Bin déjà Xorg.0.log sa doit bien te renseigner, si tu veux copie le sur le forum je regarderais.

Sinon qu' est que tu as comme écran ? car sa vient défois de là

et j'ai un ecran Gateway vivitron 17 qui date un peu mais qui me convient trés bien et qui n'est pas détecté lor de l'installation des pilotes alors je les configurer à la main.

Ok donc point de vue du log pas de pro ton écran est "standard" donc je pense que le problème vient de tes multiples tentatives et qu' il faudrait un bon nettoyage.

  - On va commencer par :

sudo apt-get autoremove

- Ensuite dans adept tu tapes fglrx et tu vire TOUT

  - tu peux aussi relancer "envy" et choisir l' option de désinstallation

  - Aprés tout ça tu refait un petit :

sudo apt-get autoremove

Tu redémarre et tu peux réssayer une installe avec tes pilotes :

sudo kate /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common

et tu mets "fglrx" en face de : DISABLED_MODULES=""

Ensuite :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install module-assistant build-essential 
sudo apt-get install fakeroot dh-make debconf libstdc++5 gcc-3.3-base linux-headers-$(uname -r)

tu te mets dans le dossier oû tu a télécharger ton driver et :

chmod +x ati-driver-installer-8.34.8-x86.x86_64.run
sudo ln -sf bash /bin/sh
./ati-driver-installer-8.34.8-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/edgy

ATTENTION ce n' est pas ta version (8.34.8) donc tu remplace par la tienne et la dernière ligne je sais plus si tu peux laisser comme sa ou mettre Kubuntu/edgy

  - Aprés :

sudo dpkg -i xorg-driver-fglrx_8.34.8-1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i fglrx-kernel-source_8.34.8-1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i fglrx-control_8.34.8-1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i fglrx-sources_8.34.8-1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i xorg-driver-fglrx-dev_8.34.8-1_i386.deb

ATTENTION ce n' est pas ta version (8.34.8) donc tu remplace par la tienne ou aprés avoir juste taper le début jusqu' a "...fglrx_" tu appuie sur "Tab" et sa t' écrit le reste correctement.

  - Ensuite :

sudo rm /usr/src/fglrx-kernel*.deb

Si tu as une erreure, kà c' est pas grave.

  - Ensuite :

sudo module-assistant prepare
sudo module-assistant update
sudo module-assistant build fglrx
sudo module-assistant install fglrx
sudo depmod -a

- Et:

sudo aticonfig --initial
sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv

- Redémarrage et :

fglrxinfo

Une coquille est, par essence, assez contradictoire car sans le q c'est une couille.

Tu as fait comment pour installer tes drivers ? Ne nous dis pas que tu as utilisé l'installeur graphique parce qu'apparemment une méthode console marche parfaitement. ^^

que l'option suivante du kernel devait etre à disable

dans mon kernel elle est à enable

est ce que vous pensez que c'est la source de mon problème ?

Je pense que ton problème doit venir de ton écran (en tout cas je l' espère) car si tu n' as pas la possibilité de taper quelquechose, ton système doit croire que c' est bon mais ton écran ne t' affiche rien.

Pour cela modifie dans ton xorg.con la section "monitor", comme cela :

recopie et colle par dessus tes 5 lignes, j' ai fait en sorte de juste changer Sync et refresh et de disposer un peu mieu car xorg.conf m' a déjà fait une erreure juste pour un espace en trop.

Tu peux aussi décomenté la section composite car de toute façon avec une ATI si tu veux une bonne accélération 3D c' est indispensable.

quand je remplace la section monitor par celle que tu m'as donné et que je mets ou pas la section composite, kubuntu démarre en mode console !
Donc à mon avis, il faut cherché sur cette voit.
quand pense tu ? et que dois je faire ?

alors dans ce cas c' est trés simple tu tapes :

startx

Et il va te marqué une légende : [EE] erreur, [WW] warning etc ...
Et ensuite il te dit l' erreur avec la légende qui va bien ([...]) ainsi que la ligne oû il y a l' erreur et là on serra sur de se qu' il faut modifier mème si je sais déjà ...

Le problème c' est la fréquence de rafraichissement et la résolution que supporte ton écran et si sa ne marche toujours pas c' est surement car je t' ai donner des valeurs de mon 19" et je suis sur quand rentrant des valeurs d' un 17" se serra bon, mais avant on va verifier que c' est bien ça et si tu pouvait me donner le résultat de l' erreur avec le numèro de ligne ainsi que le ou les lignes concernées dans quelques minutes aprés tes renseignements et mes réponses tu aurras ton accélération avec ton affichage.

P.S. : désolé pour l' attente, pâque oblige ...

tu n'as pas à t'excuser, c'est sympa de m'aider.

malheureusement fausse joie, je me suis trompé en modifiant le fichier xorg.conf

en fait en ajoutant tes lignes pour l'écran j'ai toujours le même problème.

n'y aurait il pas un log ou je puisse voir l'erreur ?

p.s. si ça peut t'aider j'ai trouvé un site ou il parle de l'instal de ma carte graphique mais ça date vu que c'est avec xfree et le driver 8.19

Mince !!! sinon sous Edgy, ma carte (9600 pro) et je suis pas le seul, s' installer trés bien avec l' accélération graphique.

C' est pour cela que je pense qu' il vaut mieux se diriger vers ton écran car c' est un problème que j' ai déjà rencontré (enfin des collègues ou sur les forums).

Peux tu me préciser se que tu as voulu me dire par "je me suis tromper avec xorg.conf" et aussi me dire dans quel cas tu t' ai retrouvé ave une invite de console ?

Sinon à la section "screen" essaye en enlevant toutes les valeurs au dessus de "800x600" à toutes les lignes car j' avais pas remarqué mais, pour certains 17" "1280x1024" sa passe pas !!! Et avec "800x600" on est sur que sa passe et puis si sa marche tu pourras aller vers "1024x768"

Pour le log, en faite, si Xorg.0.log ne te dit rien c' est que le server graphique va bien (normalement) et ton affichage c' est (en gros) :

- le server X (xorg)
- ta carte graphique
- ton écran
- le noyau
(c' est pas dans l' ordre wink )

Donc on va dire que ta carte va bien xorg aussi (puisque Xorg.0.log te dit rien de grave), ton noyau va bien, alors il reste que l' écran !

Je peu me tromper, mais je pense que sa doit être ça, change bien se que je t' ai dit au niveau de la section "screen" sinon le mieux (à moins que quelque un ai la réponse), c' est de réinstaller car si c' est pas les valeurs concernant le rafraichissement et la résolution de ton écran, ni xorg, ni les pilotes, alors je voie pas et une réinstallation réglerais un problème que je n' ai pas sue identifier.

alors, pour ta première question (je me suis trompé dans le xorg.conf) en fait j'ai commenté les 2 sections screen (je voulais garder mon ancienne config en la commentant dans le fichier) mais j'ai aussi commenté par erreur celle que tu m'as donné.
donc x ne pouvait pas démarrer, il ne trouvait pas d'écran.
aprés correction, retour à la case départ.

plutot que d'enlever les résolutions, est ce qu'il vaudrait pas mieux effacé le fichier xorg.conf puis réinstaller, car je me suis apperçu qu'a la réinstallation il reprenait la config du fichier xorg.conf existant ?

je pense qu'on tiens le bon bout !

Là je séche ...

réssaye, sans rien changer et regarde si ctr-alt F1 t' amène sur une console.

remet "1024x768" et réssaye ctr-alt F1

remet tes anciennes config du monitor et commante les miennes et toujours pareil réssaye ctr-alt F1

Sinon dernière soluce c' est la réinstall car je voie vraiment pas ...

Désolé j' aurais bien voulu trouvé la solution ...
