Carte graphique unichrome

Salut à tous, j'ai installé ubuntu hier (l'année dernière j'avais déjà installé ubuntu mais j'avais vite abandonné, là j'ai envie de m'y remettre, depuis que j'ai vu vista ... bref)

J'ai un ordinateur portable fujitsu-siemens, 1Go ram, double coeur 1.66Ghz proc, écran 15,4 pouces.

Tout à l'air de fonctionner à merveille sauf ma carte graphique. Dès que je lance une application graphique 2d ou 3d ça rame très très beaucoup ! (même un simple jeu d'échecs en 3d rame à mort).

J'ai donc contacté un ami "qu'y s'y connait" il m'a dit de remplacer "vesa" par "via" dans le fichier conf de xorg. Quand je fais ça, plus rien ne s'affiche ensuite quand je redémarre. J'ai du aller éditer en mode console avec nano pour remettre "vesa". Voilà où j'en suis. Si quelqu'un pouvait m'aider à installer correctement ma carte graphique ce serait bien car je n'y arrive pas seul

ps : Je suis débutant alors si vous pouviez en + un peu détailler les explications ce serait cool. Je sais, je suis chiant ^^

Woin bin là il faudrait savoir c'est quoi ta carte vidéo. Les constructeur ne travaillent pas a faire des pilotes Linux pour les vieux modèles de cartes vidéo. Par contre la communauté Linux y travaille. Alors, si vous avez une vieille carte non supporté par AMD-ATI ou Nvidia il vous faudra vous tourner vers les pilotes libre.

Je ne connais pas Ubuntu mais Kubuntu dispose d'un logiciles permettant de lister tout les périfériques de l'ordinateur.

Si tu veu de l'aide va nous falloir au moin le modele de ta carte graph pour que l'on puisse t'aider...

Apres savoir si t'en a installé les drivers et si oui, lesquels...

Euh je ne sais pas ce que c'est comme model !
J'ai vu ailleurs sur le forum qu'il fallait aper la commande lspci, je sais pas si ça va servir à quelque chose, il y a beaucoup de unknown ...

Tapes ça dans une console, tu trouveras surement au moin la marque de ta carte graph.

$sudo /usr/sbin/dmidecode >> Diagnostic_dmi
$more Diagnostic_dmi

... et ça enregistre aussitôt un fichier intitulé "Diagnostic_dmi" dans /home/ton_identité

Tu n'auras ensuite plus qu'à fouiller le dit document

Ou plus simplement encore d'apres ce que je vien de trouver sur le fofo, toujours dans une console, tape:
lspci   => Carte graph en pci expresse
J'en deduit donc qu'un :
lsagp => Carte graph en AGP (mais je ne suis pas sur de ce que je te dis, suis sur un xp là, je testerais ce soir et te confirmerais si ton pb n'est pas resolu d'ici là

Ces deux lignes me poussent à t'annoncer une mauvaise nouvelle
D'apres moi tu n'as pas de carte graph à proprement dit. Mais plutot un chipset simulant une carte graphique.
Si cela est confirmé par d'autres, je crainds egalement que tu ne sois dans l'impossibilitée de mettre quoi que ce soit à jour par ailleur que par les site Fujitsu...

au boulot on a une via unichrome aussi...une belle merde.
pas d'acceleration graphique malgrè le driver openchrome installlé.
mais là je viens de voir le paquet unichrome-dri 6.5.2-1...je testerais lundi.

erf j'avais écrit un message mais il était affiché 2 fois et en voulant supprimer le doublon j'ai supprimé les 2 ...

bref je disais que ça ne marche toujours pas. que faire ?

j'ai eu l'erreur d'écran bleu avec les caractères illisibles, j'ai du utiliser nano pour remettre "vesa" à la place de "via" ...
