[MultiBoot] XP ne veut pas se lancer...

Etant en IUT Informatique, je suis amené à utiliser Linux un peu tous les jours.
Je me suis décidé à installer Ubuntu.
Voilà ma config:

1er DD IDE en slave sur lequel est installé Windows XP (il était là avant Ubuntu).
2e DD SATA sur lequel je stocke des données.
3e DD IDE en master sur lequel j'ai installé Ubuntu.

Dans le BIOS, le DD contenant Ubuntu boote en premier, puis ensuite celui de Windows XP.

L'installation d'Ubuntu n'a posée aucun problème (je tiens à préciser que les deux autres disques étaient branchés lors de l'installation).
Je redémarre le PC, le menu GRUB apparaît, je peux booter sous Ubuntu sans problème, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour Windows XP.
En effet, lorsque je le lance, le message Starting Up... apparaît (jusque là pas de problèmes), l'écran devient noir comme s'il allait booter Windows XP, mais à mon grand désespoir celui-ci ne veut pas se lancer (je n'ai pas le droit à la petite barre qui charge).

Je sais qu'il y a pas mal de cas similaires, que ce problème a déjà du être abordé pas mal de fois, mais une aide est tout de même la bienvenue.

vu que tu a installé UBUNTU sans les autres disques
essaye de reinstaller grub :

sudo grub-install hdX

où X est l'id de ton disque boot (ici : 3e DD IDE en master non?)

Si tu as modifier ton fichier menu.lst, il faut mettre a jour Grub :

sudo update-grub

Merci pour ta réponse, en fait j'ai installé ubuntu avec les deux autres disques durs branchés.
Et oui, mon disque boot est le 3e DD IDE en master.

Mon menu.lst est-il bien configuré?
