Ecran de login qui bug

J'ai installé ce soir le pilote ATI libre (radeon) et en meme temps j'ai installé Beryl (qui tourne très bien).

A priori tout marche parfaitement sauf que lorsque je demarre le PC au moment d'arriver a l'écran de login mon écran perd la synchro (message donné par l'écran: "Coupure : 83,7kHz / 60 Hz").

Je suis obligé de taper mon login et mot de passe a l'aveugle et la ubuntu se lance normallement comme si de rien etait.

Je n'arrive pas a savoir d'ou cela viens donc si quelqu'un a une idée ou a deja entendu parler d'un tel bug.

Pour info ma config: Athlon 3000 XP , ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128Mo, 1Go de RAM le tout sur chipset nVidia.

Je remonte ce post car je n'arrive pas du tout a résoudre mon soucis.

Le seul semblant de solution que j'ai pu trouver c'est ca malheureusement la solution me déplait puisqu'il s'agit d'installer les pilote propriétaire (avec toute les complications que ca implique pour Beryl).

D'autre part cela concerne les LiveCD, or dans mon cas tout marchait très bien au niveau du LiveCD et meme une fois l'installation terminé.

J'ai exactement le même message sur mon écran (on doit avoir le meme, un LG )
Et c'est également depuis que j'ai installe le pilote libre de radeon avec ma Radeon X300 PCIE.
(Avant j'étais avec FLGRX + XGL, et je voulais passer a AIGLX grave au pilote libre radeon ...)
Mais du coup, sur mon écran de login, je ne peux meme plus choisir ma session
Et j'avoue que ton semblant de solution me convient moyen a moi aussi ...
