Problème installation driver nvidia

bonjour, j'ai un problème avec l'installation de mes driver Nvidia 9746, l'installlation se déroule sans problèmes mais lorsque je reboot, l'interface graphique ce lance mais mon ecran s'eteind, je bascule en mode console plein écran (Ctrl-Alt-F1 par exemple), et l'ecran se rallume et je vois la console puis je rebascule sur ma session graphique (Ctrl-Alt-F7), et ma session graphique s'affiche mais là je ne peux plus rebasculer en mode console plein écran
j'ai essayé l'installe avec envy, automatix et avec le nvidia.run mais toujours la même chose, et quand j'installe beryl il fait crashé mon pc et je suis obligé de rebooter mon système.

as tu tout simplement essayer d'installer les drivers nivida des dépots ? :

sinon post nous un peu le contenu de ton xorg.conf !

bonjour, dans les depots d'ubuntu il n'y a pas les derniers drivers nvidia, ce qui est un peu embetant pour installer beryl :S (mais j'ai installé celui du depot officiel de beryl pour edgy, et ça ne marche pas)

je tiens a signaler que j'avais testé l'installation de ce driver il y a 2 semeine (quand je faisais des teste de edgy) et qu'il fonctionnait très bien

pour essayer de faire reconnaitre ta carte par xorg avec les nouveaux drivers. Si tu ne sais pas répondre a certain question lors du dpkg-reconfigure, laisse vide, en générale sa marche trés bien.

fait aussi un petit :

dpkg -l | grep nvidia

et donne le resultat (pour voir quels drivers sont installé)

Dur dur les drivers 9XXX nvidia avec les cartes a base de chip 97xx...je sais de quoi je parle !

j'avais déjà essayé de reconfigurer mon xorg avec sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg mais ça n'a pas fonctionné:

Le paquet nvidia-glx contenant la version 9746 n'est disponible que dans des depots non officiels !!! donc NON SUPPORTES et NON GARANTIE.
Tu n'as plus qu'a t'adresser directement au mainteneur du depot dans lequel tu as chopé ce paquet pour qu'il t'aide !! (et en général, ces gens ne font pas de support).

Perso, je te conseille de compiler manuellement ces derniers drivers ou d'utiliser envy plutot que d'utiliser des depots non officiels...

comme je l'ai dis dans mon premier post que ce soit avec le script envy, ou que je compile moi même ou que j'installe depuit un depôt non-officiel, j'ai toujours la même erreur pourtant il y a 2 semeine j'avais installé ce même driver et il fonctionnait très bien, et depuis j'ai dût réinstallé 5 fois est toujours la même erreur :S

Moi je veux bien essayer de t'aider à résoudre ce problème et cette erreur, mais pas avec des paquets non officiels (le probleme de ces paquets est qu'il n'ont été testés par personne, donc en cas d'erreur, tu ne sais pas si c'est du à ta config ou au paquet en lui-meme, plus pleins d'autres raisons qui font que je ne conseille pas ces depots non officiels, mais après tu fais ce que tu veux !).
Il faudrait aussi que nous en dise un peu plus sur l'erreur en question, qu'est ce que les logs racontent..pour nous donner une piste !

Commente les lignes DRI et Freetype (freetype juste pour lancer le minimum de truc avec Beryl on sait jamais...) dans les modules, soit :

Comme quoi, les drivers nvidia ne sont pas toujours les grands méchants loups !:P
Tu pourrais rajouter un petit [Résolu] dans le titre stp ?
