installation BERYL ati radeon 9600/9700 m10

Bonsoir

,nouveau sur ubuntu j'aimerais installer beryl sur mon ordi qui a une carte graphique ati radeon 9600/9700 M10 ( à ce que me dit Xorg ) j'aimerais savoir si je dois plutôt installer les drivers fglrx ou bien les drivers libres RADEON qui m'ont l'air sensiblement plus facile à installer?

Sous dapper pour moi tout fonctionnait nickel avec les fglrx.
Sous edgy tout fonctionne nickel avec les drivers libres.

ok et dans le fichier de config Xorg il suffit de rajouter les éléments écrit dns le tuto ubuntu?

Suivre le tuto a la lettre a fonctionné parfaitement pour moi.

j'ai la même carte (9700 mobility / M10).
J'ai suivi le tuto "ancienne méthode" avec les drivers fglrx et installation du serveur XGL puis de beryl.
Dans sessions > programmes de démarrage j'ai mis "beryl-xgl" et "emerald" et tout marche

Merci pour votre aide voila maintenant je suis en train d'installer les pilotes libres mais a la fin quand je fait dans le terminal : "glxinfo | grep rendering " le terminal m'affiche :

"libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
direct rendering: Yes
"
est-ce normal??

Cette ligne ne pose absolument aucun soucis pour ton acceleration graphique ne t'inquietes pas.
