problèmes avec beryl [resolu]

bonjour,

j'ai installé beryl et je me heurte à quelques problèmes comme les bordures de fenêtres qui n'apparaissent qu'après redemarrage du serveur X ( ça, ça va encore) ou mes applis comme firefox ou thunderbird  qui sont complètement transparentes et donc inutilisables alors qu'elles sont bien ouvertes (je le vois aux liens qui font repondre ma souris)  mais ce qui est bien plus gênant est que le contenu de mon deuxième disque dur disparaît (aucune icône de fichier ou dossier) et n'est de nouveau accessible qu'après redemarrage (quand il veut bien).

si quelqu'un a une piste pour règler cela...

Pour le problème au démarrage j'ai exactement pareil,
en fait, Beryl met longtemps a ce lancer,
et finalement il ne fonctionne pas bien (pas de bordure, ou alors elle clignote).
Je relance X, puis Beryl et là ça marche nickel chrome.

Si il existe une solution pour ce problème au démarrage je suis preneur !

mobman02, tu as quoi comme carte graphique ?
je me demande si ce n'est pas la mauvaise reconnaissance de celle-ci qui génère le problème.
je viens de laisser un message sur le forum de beryl on verra si ils ont quelque chose à nous mettre sous la dent...

Pour les bordures qui n'apparaissent pas au démarrage, une solution qui a marché (merci les copains du forum beryl) consiste à faire :

sudo kwrite /usr/bin/emerald-restart

- coller ça dedans :

killall emerald
emerald &

chmoder le fichier :

sudo chmod 755 /usr/bin/emerald-restart

puis créer :

sudo kwrite ~/.kde/Autostart/emerald-restart.desktop

coller ça dedans

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Exec=emerald-restart
GenericName[en_US]=
StartupNotify=false
Terminal=false
TerminalOptions=
Type=Application
X-KDE-autostart-after=beryl-manager

et voilà, le tour est joué.

(attention ceci est pour KDE)

en ce qui concerne les problèmes de firefox et thunderbird qui restent complètement transparents au demarrage, rien de neuf.
Pour le problème de fichiers absents (pas d'icônes de dossier ou fichier) des autres partitions cela semble avoir disparu depuis l'install toute fraiche de edgy stable.

en espèrant que cela puisse aider !

Hum moi j'ai trouvé une astuce autre qui fonctionne,
avant de quitter ma session dans beryl manager je sélectionne le gestionnaire de fenêtre de Gnome.

Je reboot et quand je lance beryl-manager ya plus aucun problème.

pas mal, ça tombe bien parce que je pensais installer la version stable d'edgy sur le portable avec gnome et c'est bon à savoir au cas où..

finalement, avec le temps les bugs disparaissent..
