ACER 5012 WLMi pas d'accélération graphique (AGP ou pas?)

Bonsoir à tous,
je vous expose mon problème (je ne dois pas être le premier à avoir ce problème mais j'ai parcouru le forum et la documentation en long large et même travers !)
J'ai utilisé le programme d'ATI (j'ai lu que ce n'était pas très judicieux) sans résultat!
J'ai donc opter pour l'installation dans la console (sans désinstaller les drivers ATI! boulette?) et il me dit qu'une grande partie des paquets sont installés.

$ glxgears -printfps
1503 frames in 5.0 seconds = 299.564 FPS
1855 frames in 5.4 seconds = 343.909 FPS
1855 frames in 5.4 seconds = 343.527 FPS donc je pense que je n'ai pas d'accelération graphique.

Pour arriver au résultat suivant :

Ma carte est en PCI-express et j'ai fait tous les tutoriels traitant de l'accélération graphique sauf que j'ai sauté l'étape sur l'AGP et sur le chipset de la carte mère.
Dois-je les faire car je ne vois pas pourquoi elle ne fonctionne pas?
