[Résolu] Drivers ATI libres et 9600 Pro

Bonjour,

voilà jusqu'à présent j'utilisais fglrx pour ma 9600 Pro, ça a toujours fonctionné nickel. J'avais lu un peu partout que les drivers libres ne supportaient pas la 3D sur les cartes plus récentes que la 9000, MAIS, j'ai aussi lu (je lis bcp ) que ces infos n'étaient pas à jour et que le driver avait beaucoup évolué depuis.

Donc j'ai voulu essayer le driver libre, mais bien entendu pas d'accélération 3D. Par contre là ou je ne pige pas, c'est que glxinfo me dit que le direct rendering est bien à "yes".

Voilà mes infos :

xorg.conf : c'est un peu le bordel dans la section "Device" car j'ai essayé différentes options que j'ai trouvé à gauche et à droite...

qu'est ce qui te fais dire que tu n'as pas l'accélération 3D malgré le Direct Rendering = Yes ??

(ça m intéresse j'ai une 9800 pro et j'ai lu sur les meme post que toi surement que SuperDindon avait affirmé que "radeon" était à jour pour les cartes récentes)

Ben disons que glxgears me bouffe pas mal mon proc (je n'ai pas l'indication des FPS je sais pas pourquoi...) et Google Earth pédale COMPLEMENT dans la semoule (genre inutilisable).

Mais c'est vrai que je n'ai pas testé encore d'autres progr, il y a peut-être un problème avec GoogleEarth uniquement. J'attends Beryl pour pouvoir tester AIGLX.

Bon en fait alors j'ai essayé d'installer une préversion de Bery dispo ici : http://dev.realistanew.com/beryl/ et alors que je m'y attendait pas du tout ça tourne !! Donc j'ai bien la 3D activée, mon probl doit venir de Google Earth.

edit : damn ! ça fuse ! c'est nettement plus réactif maintenant (drivers libres / beryl / AIGLX) que avant (fglrx / xgl / compiz).

Il a déjà été mentionné plusieurs fois dans le forum.

Sinon, oui pour l'instant ça tourne nickel et je n'ai pas eu de problème. Y a juste l'écran fermeture de session de Gnome (celui où on peut choisir de ce déconnecter, de redémarrer, etc) qui n'apparait plus et qui me bloc ma machine, mais sinon tout roule.

Quand à AIGLX, je suis sous Edgy, donc...
