Geforce 2 AGP reconnut en PCI

Salut,

j'ai ubuntu dapper et ma Geforce 2 mx400 est reconnut en PCI au lieu d'AGP, des images valent mieu que des mots :

Autre info, j'ai un belinea 10 19 20 donc qui supporte des bonnes résolutions, et la résolution maximum que je peux mettre est 1024*768 en 76Hz. Je ne peux pas changer la fréquence mais je peux diminuer la résolution (640*480 ou 800*600).

Voilà mais moi j'aimerais bien mettre 1280*1024 donc si vous avez des idées parce que là je trouve plus.....

Salut,

C'est normal. Ta carte AGP utilise le bus PCI. Tu confonds le port et le bus.

J'ai les mêmes symptomes que toi et il me semble que Xorg n'utilise pas la carte graphique mais les fonction dédiée sur la carte mêre.
En effet mon Xorg.conf donne à "Device"

J'ai essayer de changer ça en installant des pilotes récents etc mais à part casser mon Xorg.conf (que bien entendu je n'avais pas sauvegardé avant...:(:( ) je n'ai pas reussi à faire grand chose.
JE te conseille donc de faire une copie de backup de ton xorg avant de bidouiller quoique ce soit parce que se retrouver sans interface graphique quand on est débutant c'est très très génant..:D:D:D
En tout cas je me joint à toi pour solliciter la communauté si quu'un a une idée, un tuto que j'aurais pas encore exploré ou un fil de forum je suis preneur!

P.S: J'ajoute que si un membre connaitrait le moyen de générer un nouveau Xorg.conf plus adapté à mon matériel (j'ai récupéré celui que j'utilise par une session de live-CD après la perte du précédent) je serais ravi.

Ok bah je sais pas trop comment régler le problème là... j'ai bien installer les drivers qui correspondent à ma cg pourtant.

Ensuite dans synaptic ,prendre les pilotes ad hoc

En reprenant le Xorg.conf de Koho et en changeant qque truc (nom du "device" carte graphique, du moniteur et du clavier) j'ai résolu mes problèmes.

Pourrais tu m'expliquer le but de la ligne de code que tu me propose:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Pour les "lspci" jai du faire un truc du genre plus qques autre pour connaitre éxactement le type de ma carte et le N° du port PCI utilisé.

@patgrisly: Ok, je t'avouerais que je ne lis pas en détail les fichier conf, je me conteente des ligne qui peuvent m'interresser. Une erreur surement....

Ok bon... gros problème !

j'avais un xorg.conf du 21/08 par défaut, je l'ai sauvegardé puis j'ai fait un sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg pour le mettre "à jour" jusque là ça marche. J'ai voulu tenter de configurer ma MX1000 en suivant le tuto du site nuxo.net. Biensur avant j'avais encore sauvegarder mon xorg.conf qui date celui la du 22/08. La 1ere étape du tuto est de modifier vite fait le .conf et de reboot ce que je fais. et là... c'est le drame !

A pu rien... enfin si, erreur dite "problament du à un fichier xorg.conf mal configuré". 1ère réaction mettre celui du 22/08 qui marchait, marche pas... test de celui du 21/08, marche pas non plus...
