Sortie TV, Asus A6Va, ATI x700

J'ai fait l'acquisition d'une TV et j'aimerai bien regarder des films, mes photos, etc... dessus. Sous windows il suffit de brancher le cable (sortie S-vidéo si je ne me trompe pas) livré avec mon portable (Asus A6Va carte ATI x700) qui se termine en prise RCA. Puis dans les propriétés de la carte graphique il suffit de lui dire qu'il y a une TV et il passe par là.

Sous linux j'ai souvent lu que c'étais plus compliqué mais j'ai pas trouvé de solution "universelle" si elle existe...

Une des seules solutions sous linux est de modifier ton fichier Xorg.conf ( se trouvant dans /etc/X11/ ) pour qu'il detecte et accpete ta TV en double ecran, double bureau, ecran geant.....
pour cela tout ou presque est inscrit dans le forum il te suffit de taper dans recherche :"xorg ATI" par exemple, ou "sortie TV ATI" ou "Dual screen ATI".....
voila pour toi!!!

Après de multiples recherches je n'ai toujours pas réussi à faire marcher cette sortie vidéo...

Quelqu'un aurais un Asus A6Va avec une carte x700 et aurai réussi à faire fonctionner sa sortie S-vidéo ? Son xorg.conf pourrais m'être utile...

Bon en fait j'ai réussi à coup de aticonfig et d'édition de mon xorg.conf, mais maintenant j'ai un dualscreen dont les deux écrans sont "à cotés" (virtuellement).

Moi j'aurai plutot aimé avoir un clone de mon écran. Car si jamais je n'allume pas la télé ou que je suis en déplacement, la souis disparait sur le deuxième écran qui n'est en fait pas là

J'ai vu les option pour pouvoir avoir le deuxième écran au-dessus, au-dessous, à coté de n'importe quel coté que je veux... mais pas pour qu'il soit une simple copie du premier...

Quelqu'un saurai-t-il faire ça ?

Tu as installé les pilotes fglrx ? A ce moment là, tu auras un panneau de config ATI avec lequel tu pourras jouer (je dis ca, mais j'ai pas essayé)

Mais après c'est un autre probléme, la visualisation des vidéo ne se fait que sur un seul écran et on est loin de la fonction Theatre sous Windows ou la TV est en plein écran vidéo des qu'on lance un lecteur.

quelle est la commande pour lancer ce control panel ?

PS : je me réponds tout seul : fireglcontrol et fireglcontrolpanel mais il n'a pas les options qu'il y a sur le screenshot...

en fait j'ai compris, si je lance mon Ubuntu sans le cable connecté, le "deuxième écran" (la télé) n'est pas reconnue et je n'ai pas de problème de souris qui disparait. Par contre si je démarre avec la télé branchée puis que je la débranche pour aller ailleurs, là le deuxième écran est toujours présent et à ce moment là la souris disparait si je sort par la droite.

Bon il suffit de redémarrer le serveur X à chaque fois que je veux utiliser/arréter d'utiliser la télé. Ce n'est pas trop génant. Si quelqu'un a une solution plus pratique...

Autre question : J'ai maintenant 2 fichiers xorg.conf... Un qui fait fonctionner la télé et un qui me permet d'avoir XGL. Une solution pour ne pas avoir à passer de l'un à l'autre ?

Sans rien paramétrer, une fois le bureau affiché, simplement brancher la prise Svideo sur la télé, relancer xorg par Ctrl+Alt+<- et ce qui est sur l'écran du PC est identique sur la TV.
Dans ce cas le control panel ne sert à rien, utile seulement pour les 2 modes en bas.
Mais avec ou sans control panel la résolution du bureau est celle de l'écran du PC.
Dans mon cas 1280x1024 et télé 1024x768 par défaut une vidéo en plein écran n'est pas vue complétement sur la télé.

Comme je suis pas du genre à abandonner...
J'ai galéré sur ce coup tout simplement parce que j'ai une TV 16/9 et si pas réglée en 4/3 je ne vois que le centre du bureau.
Pour initialiser avec 2 écrans:
sudo aticonfig --initial=dual-head /etc/X11/xorg.conf
sudo aticonfig --screen-layout=left /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Place l'écran TV à gauche car à droite on a tendance à glisser lorsqu'on utilise les ascenseurs.
On relance x avec [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[<---]
vous aurez 2 écrans dans Résolution de l'écran à régler séparément.
Et un deuxiéme bureau sur la TV.
C'est un bureau étendu en fait on peut accéder à la souris du côté ou se trouve le deuxiéme bureau.
Lancer les video en plein écran sur le bureau de la TV tout en conservant le bureau du PC libre.
Enfin le même résultat que sous Windows.

j'ai un asus aussi avec une x700 et je confirme que la solution de jiceel fonctionne.
du moins le ctrl+alt+<-- une fois le cordon relié
