[Résolu]Les drivers nvidia font planter mon portable

Bonjour

J'ai un portable Acer Aspire 1525WLMi avec une carte graphique Nvidia GeForce FX Go5700 et j'ai voulu suivre ce tuto pour avoir l'accélération 3D. J'ai installé le paquet nvidia-glx, les deux autres paquets requis (nvidia-kernel-common et linux-restricted-modules-2.6.15-23-386) étant déja installés.
Quand je lance la commande:

sudo nvidia-glx-config enable

Ça a l'air de marcher mais quand je veut redémarrer X j'ai un zouli zécran bleu hmm avec un message d'erreur entouré d'un cadre de caractères bizarres et qui dit:

Impossible de démarrer le serveur X (l'interface graphique) car il n'est probablement pas configuré correctement.

Oui Non

La suite, si je choisi "oui", est le début de mon fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Je fais OK et j'ai le message:

Le serveur X est désactivé pour le moment. Relancez GDM quand il sera configuré.

Pour que tout redevienne normal je remplace le fichier xorg.conf par le backup que j'en avait fait puis je redémarre et ça fonctionne à nouveau normalement... mais je n'ai toujours pas l'accélération 3D sad

Dans la section device, tu changes nv en nvidia pour commencer.

fais aussi un petit sudo modprobe nvidia. Si il ne te renvoie rien cela doit marcher

apres le plantage tu peux voir les erreurs du serveur X avec la commande:

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep EE

Autre chose : dans la Section "Device", le BusID change entre les 2 fichiers.....bizarre...
Tu devrais essayer de prendre le xorg.conf qui fonctionne et de ne changer que nv par nvidia, redemarrer X et voir qi ca passe....sinon, il serait interessant de voir ton xorg.log comme le suggere y0ggl.

loloemr > Changer nv en nvidia il l'a fait tout seul en générant un nouveau fichier xorg.conf. Sinon modprobe nvidia ne me revoit rien mais ça ne marche pas neutral

Pourtant j'ai bien installé le paquet nvidia-glx et ma carte est bien dans la liste du materiel supporté hmm (2 fois même)

Tu avais raison Lestat, il valait mieux ne pas utiliser le fichier généré automatiquement et changer seulement "nv" en "nvidia". Je viens de finir la 1ère course de Planet Penguin Racer sans problème.
