[Resolu] Problèmes avec webcam Logitech QuickCam S7500

Bonjour,

J'ai quelques soucis avec une webcam que je viens d'acheter :
Avant d'acheter, j'ai passé 2 jours sur le web à me décider. Je voulais absolument qu'elle sois compatible linux.
Mes recherches m'ont mené là :

Je me suis finalement décidé pour la LOGITECH QUICKCAM S7500
Sachant que la S5500 avait passé les tests Skype aMSN, EasyCam avec succès, je me suis dit que je ne devrais pas avoir de problème. De plus, elle est notée compatible sur les 1er et 4ème liens (voir ci-dessus).

Déroulement des tests :
- branchement et utilisation skype : fonctionne très bien (son et video). le device est : UVC Camera (046d:09a2) (/dev/video0)
- test Cheese : video OK (problème avec le son, mais on verra plus tard)
- aMSN : c'est là que ça se corse : video très sombre, en noir et blanc
(choix du périphérique : pas le choix : v4l2 : UVC Camera (046d:09a2)
- nouveau test skype : pas de bol, c'est égalemnt sombre et en N&B
- nouveau test cheese : ça plante : en lc, ça donne : "Fatal IO error 11"
- je débranche et rebranche la prise USB de la webcam : skype OK, Cheese OK, mais évidemment pas aMSN

Voilà, comment faire fonctionner ma webcam avec aMSN ?
Connaissez-vous d'autres clients qui gèrent le protocole MSN + la vidéo ?

Merci pour l'information.
Je vois que je ne suis pas le seul, c'est déjà ça...
dans les liens, ils parlent plutôt du pilote gspca.
Moi, ma camera est UVC, et si je raconte pas de connerie, n'utilise pas le pilote gspca.
Je ne testerai donc pas v4l2ucp, par peur de faire des manip irrécupérables pour moi, débutant.

Skype fonctionne, et avec une très belle image : il me reste donc à convaincre mon carnet d'adresse MSN de passer à Skype

Essai d'installer luvcview , histoire de tester si le module uvc "tourne" correctement et lance la commande suivante:
sudo apt-get install luvcview

Quelque chose d'étrange ou d'un autre monde:

I recently bought a Logitech Quickcam Communicate Deluxe/S7500 (046d:09a2) and also noticed that the video in Ekiga was much too dark. Only very bright light sources were seen as muddy spots in the image.
To my surprise the picture suddenly turned from pitch black to a bright white when I hold the webcam very close to a lamp. When I took the webcam off the lamp, the picture was perfect! Maybe this procedure triggered some webcam internal contrast correction, I don't know...
It is really a strange procedure to "blind" the webcam after every reboot to get it working, but this is the only way it works for me so far.
Please tell me what I can do to help you debugging and fixing this bug. I would be relly glad if my webcam would just work - as it was advertised here: http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/ and made me buying this cam in the first place. :-(

je viens de tester le coup de la lampe : éblouir la webcam puis éteindre la lampe.
Le contraste de la webcam change mais ça redevient très sombre, et en N&B.

J'ai installé luvcview. Effectivement, il y a un truc bizarre :

Etant donné que je séche lamentablement, regarde ce post pour essayer autre chose (mais je suppose, crois comprendre que le device ne prends pas en charge mpeg et yuv, je n'en suis absolument pas sûr d'ou le test ci dessous proposé:

Je pense par exemple à çà :

Pardon, mplayer, le device n'est pas explicitement mentionné au cas ou:

Pour vlc et le son peut être:

Pour le module uvc, si des améliorations sont possibles: option quirck (pas moyen de trouver une doc pour expliquer, plutôt comprendre comment çà marche)

quirks=2 et 64 : skype : OK / amsn : video très sombre en N&B, comme initialement.
Je vais essayer de me renseigner du côté de quirks.

En tout ça merci pour ton aide, ça fait avancer le shmilblick, même si le problème n'est pas résolu.
Ce qui m'agace, c'est que j'ai eu beau prendre une webcam UVC, notée :
- "supported" sur le site de Logitech
- "device works" sur le site berlios.de
Je ne peux pas utiliser un des deux plus gros logiciels de visio...
Heureusement, au moins, skype fonctionne...

A ce stade, je ne connais pas de client autres qu'aMsn capable de faire de l'audio-video sur ce protocole proprio, cherche et tiens nous au courant (avec support v4l2).

Comment dire...
Je fais mes plates excuses à tux4fun et à Mark Shuttleworth.

En voyant l'image sombre sur l'Etape 1 de aMSN, je me suis dit : pu****, encore un truc qui ne fonctionne pas ! Alors que ça fonctionnait super bien du premier coup sur skype.
Et, je me suis arrêté là... je ne suis même pas allé à l'étape 2.
La fameuse Etape 2 où on peut modifier le contraste, la luminosité... Bon, je peux pas modifier la couleur. Mais l'image est quand même correcte.
Reste à tester en Live avec mes contacts.

Désolé...

PS : Easycam ne fonctionne pas, mais bon, ça ne me sert pas...
