plus de dual boot après réinstallation GRub

Bonjour, après une réinstallation de xp par dessus ubuntu (préalablement partitionner pour ne pas perdre ubuntu) xp a écrasé le grub de la mrb, donc xp booté systématiquemnt sans pouvoir choisir d'OS au boot. donc j'ai vu qu'a l'aide de Super Grub Disk on pouvait réinstaller le grub. Ceci fait, je me retrouve avec ubuntu qui boot direct maintenant.
Comment rajouter au grub XP ? pour pouvoir choisir ubuntu ou xp au démarrage ?

Fait

sudo fdisk -l

et cherche le numéro de la partition windows (/dev/sda1 par exemple).
Rajoute au fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst

title Windows 
root (hd0, [le numéro trouvé précédemment - 1])
makeactive
chainloader +1

Par exemple si windows est sur sda2, ça donne
root (hd0, 1)

Allez ça redémarre et j'édite ça

non toujours rien, ubuntu démarre direct, a par que juste après le bios y'a un écran noir avec un décompte de grub en 3 sec, mais sans choix d'os a mettre en surbrillance

cat /boot/grub/menu.lst

edit: il faut le faire sur la partition qui contient grub après l'avoir monté :

sudo mkdir /mnt/boot
sudo mount /dev/sdax /mnt/boot

(avec sdax la partition ou le /boot de grub est contenue)
Et ensuite

cat /mnt/boot/boot/grub/menu.lst

Normalement il devrait t'afficher un menu avec 3 choix pendant 15 secondes, et choisir ubuntu après ce temps.

Alors qu'avant dans mon premier post qd je disait que xp se lancé tout seul, il marchait...là marche po comme viens de le dire plus haut quand je choisis XP

J'ai fais une petite erreur dans ton entrée windows (un espace en trop, il est sensible ce petit grub...)

En même temps, c'est pas le genre d'opération basique à faire tous les jours, et c'est fait automatiquement par l'installation d'Ubuntu. On peut que reprocher à windows de ne pas donner la possibilité de laisser le mbr en l'état...
Grub et moi on commence à être copain, surtout depuis que j'ai installé gentoo et d'autres distributions, je commence à être habitué à le bidouiller. Avec le temps, tu verras, tous ça parait facile (et surtout amusant, surtout quand ça fonctionne plus )

Ah non pas ce réflexe . C'est tellement plus marrant de mettre les mains dans le camboui et de tout réparer soi-même (ou avec notre aide). Bon c'est vrai que parfois c'est plus rapide de réinstaller, mais c'est moins instructif aussi.
