Format de partitions[Résolu]
Bonjour à tous,
Une bizarrerie: lors de l'installation j'ai demandé la partition racine en ext3.
Lors du boot le système m'indique que c'est une partition en ext2.
fdisk indique seulement linux 83.
Qu'en est-il exactement?

EDIT: Il me semble que si ta partition est en ext2, il est possible de convertir une partition de ext2 vers ext3 sans formater ! (et que le contraire n'est pas possible)

Passer de ext2 à ext3 :
tune2fs -j /dev/hd??
e2fsck -f /dev/hd??
Passer de ext3 à ext2 :
tune2fs -O ^has_journal /dev/hd??
e2fsck -f /dev/hd??

De même quelques particularités notées dans le man de tune2fs :
-j Ajoute un journal ext3 au système de fichiers. Si l’option -J n’est pas spécifiée, les paramètres par défaut pour les journaux seront utilisés pour créer un journal de taille adaptée (en fonction de la taille du système de fichiers) stocké dans le système de fichiers. Remarquez que vous devez utiliser un noyau qui possède le support pour ext3 pour exploiter réellement le journal.
Si cette option est utilisée pour créer un journal sur un système de fichier monté, un fichier immuable, .journal, sera créé dans le répertoire racine du système de fichier, étant donné que c’est l’unique manière de créer l’inode du journal lorsque le système de fichiers est monté. Lorsque le journal ext3 est visible et que le système de fichiers est monté, il est dangereux de le modifier ou de le supprimer ; c’est pour cette raison que le fichier est marqué comme immuable. Pendant levérification de systèmes de fichiers démontés, e2fsck(8) déplacera automatiquement .journal vers l’inode de journal réservé, qui est invisible. Pour tous les systèmes de fichiers à l’exception du système de fichiers racine, cela devrait être fait automatiquement au prochain redémarrage de la machine. Étant donné que le système de fichiers racine est monté en lecture seule, e2fsck(8) devra être exécuté depuis un disque de réparation pour que la transition soit effectuée.
Sur certaines distributions, telles que Debian, si un ramdisk initial est utilisé, les scripts initrd convertirons automatiquement un système de fichiers ext2 racine vers un ext3 si le fichier /etc/fstab spécifie que le système de fichier racine comme ext3. Ainsi, cela évite l’utilisation d’un disque de réparation pour ajouter un journal ext3 au système de fichiers racine.

Bonjour,
Ce qui est bizarre c'est que j'ai bien sur ma partition racine (/) le dossier "lost+found".
C'est simplement au boot que j'ai une indication Ext2fs au lieu de Ext3fs pour cette partition.
Ma partition home (/home) est bien indiquée comme Ext3fs lors du boot et elle dispose elle aussi du dossier "lost+found"
J'avoue être un peu dubitatif sur la situation exacte de cette partition racine. (/)

Ok j'ai bien compris. Cela peut-il se faire depuis le live CD d'Ubuntu?

Dans un premier temps, pourrais-tu donner le résultat de :
cat /etc/fstab
Cette commande va afficher le contenu de ton fichier fstab.
De même que le résultat de :
sudo parted -s /dev/hda print
Cela va afficher les partitions et leur système de fichiers.

L'utilisation de la formule magique me donne la partition (/) en ext 3. Ci dessous le message renvoyé:

par exemple pour lire les "chaînes" dans les messages du kernel.

Voila je suis de retour et fait grep -i ext* /var/log/kern.log et là il m'indique bien que ma racine / (hdb6) est en EXT3
Il n'y a donc pas de problèmes à priori sauf que le tout premier message lors du boot parle de ext2fs. il y sans doute une petite erreur dans le script du boot, mais comme ça marche comme cela j'arrête mes investigations.
