[Résolu] Acces Internet avec Ubuntu Jaunty
Bonjour;
J'ai installe un double boot XP / Ubuntu jaunty recemment, et tout marche sauf la connexion internet, il s'agit d'un PC HP PAVILLION a 1017d, equipe d'un modem "RealTek RTL8139C".
J'essaie de suivre les instructions donnees dans les differents forums, mais impossible de me connecter.
La connexion est a travers un modem ADSL externe en PPPOE de type " ALCATEL HOME PLUS PLUS 502-S 6307SRb " et j'ai de la part de mon FAI un identifiant du style "dl34567@163" ainsi qu'un mot de passe ressemblant de pres a "1234567".
Sous Windows: aucun probleme, par contre beaucoup plus dur sur Ubuntu.
1) DNS de mon FAI : reponse: "PAP authentication succeeded" puis: "Cannot determine ethernet address for proxy ARP"
2) Puis en utilisant "OpenDNS" j'ai : "can't find host ntp.ubuntu.com"
Quelqu'un a t-il rencontre un tel probleme ?

Pour configurer ton réseau, tu tapes bien en console :
sudo pppoeconf ?
Je répond oui à toute les questions. et j'ai juste à entrer mon identifiant et mot de passe.

sur la console j'ai bien tape: sudo pppoeconf, puis j'ai repondu a un certain nombre de questions du style [ oui/oui/oui/identifiant/mdp/oui/non/oui/oui ] des que j'ai vu "PAP authentication succeeded", je pensais etre sur la bonne voie, but ...

ah c'est quoi ton "non"
Moi j'ai mis que des oui et ca marche bien..
Quand ca fait authentification succeeded, essaye de faire un ping
ping www.google.fr par exemple, pour voir si ca marche.

le non est relatif a cette question:
Many providers have routers that do not support TCP packets with
a MSS higher than 1460 " Should pppoe clamp MSS at 1452 bytes? "
J'avais reessaye une fois en mettant des paquets inferieurs a 1460 bytes, mais le resultat etait le meme.
Je reessaie quand meme asap avec l'option "oui" ainsi qu'un ping chez google directement apres le succes a l'authentification.
On verra bien, dans tous les cas merci pour l'aide

[RESOLU] Le ping a fonctionne, firefox aussi.
Le probleme c'est le symbole en haut a droite ( Connexion Ethernet ) qui reste desesperemment rouge, je restais focalise sur les terminaux de fichiers log.

Comme tu n'es pas inscrit sur le forum tu ne peux pas mettre ce fil en résolu. Clique sur "Signaler" pour demander au modérateur de le faire pour toi, puis inscris toi, ça sera plus simple pour le futur.
