L'Iso 9.04 ne boot pas!

Bonjour à tous!
Depuis hier, j'ai aussi bien téléchargé une image ubuntu 9.04 32bits i386 en torrent + serveur ubuntu!

J'ai gravé l'image sur un cd avec brasero .... le cd boot mais après avoir choisi la préférence de langue , je lance et là,
la seule chose que j'ai depuis hier, c'est " Loading please wait ..." ........ et rien de plus!

Je précise que mon md5sum est ok ( 66fa77789c7b8ff63130e5d5a272d67b  /home/patrick/Bureau/ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso ) ... j'ai vérifié avec le md5 de référence!

J'ai fait un live-usb ... même problème!
Par contre quand je supprime l'option 'quiet' lors du boot ça me donne ( je ne mets pas tout , ce serai beaucoup trop long!) :

De plus, je précise que j'arrive à booter sans problème d'un autre live-cd 'shipped' de canonical (8.10) et même d'un live-cd gravé par mes soins ( xubuntu 8.10 ) .. sauf que dans ce dernier cas , il me met un :

" Unexpected IRQ Trap at vector 9b"  .... incompréhensible, mais qui ne m'empêche pas de booter.

En fait, pour le moment, je ne voudrais pas faire un upgrade via une maj classique, car je voudrais revoir complètement mes partitions, et ce serai le moment + passage de ext3 --> ext4 ( sans conversion )!

Si quelqu'un à une idée!
Je cale depuis hier!

Bon, pour apporter un peu plus de précisions sur le problème: l'iso n'est pas en cause, il boot très bien sur le portable de ma fille!
Donc, le problème provient de ma bécane mais où ???!!! 
Je joins cette image avec plein de code ( d'erreurs sûrement! je ne parle pas très bien linux encore!) ... il y a sûrement là quelque chose qui parlera à un initié!

PS : j'ai un Pentium D / carte graphique nvidia gef nx7100gs 128-512mo

NOLAPIC NOLAPIC NOLAPIC ...... comme ça ,ça veut rien dire, mais ça m'a sauvé la vie ( enfin j'exagère un peu!)!
Du coup tout fonctionne parfaitement avec cette option en F6!
Ça pourra servir à d'autres s'ils rencontrent le même problème!

Par ailleurs, j'ai voulu mettre ça par défaut dans mon grub/menu.lst ( #defoptions=quiet .... nolapic ), du coup je n'arrivais plus à accéder à mon bureau 8.10 ... j'ai mis un bon moment avant de retomber sur mes pattes!

Écoute, si ça peut te faire gagner du temps, tant mieux ... j'y ai passé quand même la journée pour trouver l'astuce!
Par contre, la question que je me pose maintenant, quand j'aurai migré sur la 9.04, faudra t'il que je mette à jour mon menu.lst avec ce fameux nolapic, pour que ça démarre à nouveau!
Car, en regardant le menu.lst actuel ( 8.10), il n'y est pas et c'est parce qu'il n'y est pas, qu'intrépid démarre nickel!
Enfin, je dis ça mais je ne suis plus sûr de rien ... je marche vraiment à tâtons en ce moment!

C'est très probable mais pas sûr. De plus, il suffirait que tu changes le composant qui fout le bazar (en général, c'est le lecteur de CD/DVD) pour ne plus avoir besoin de ton option NOLAPIC ou autre option tordue. C'est capricieux ces foutus machines...

Edit : dans un post plus haut, tu écris "l'iso n'est pas en cause, il boot très bien sur le portable de ma fille". Ce n'est pas si simple : un CD peut être lu parfaitement sur un lecteur d'un PC et lu avec des erreurs sur un autre PC. C'est connu comme le houblon et la solution peut être de changer de marque de CD ou bien de changer le lecteur optique récalcitrant voire de changer les deux...

Je précise quand même que je boote parfaitement avec un live-cd 8.10 (ubuntu ) + xubuntu 8.10 + mandriva 2009 .... et bien d'autres que je récupère avec les linux-magazine!
Ça me le fait uniquement avec la 9.04 maintenant!
Maintenant, je tiens compte quand même de tes remarques!
Une chose, par contre, que je ne suis pas arrivé à faire, c'est mettre à jour grub avec le live-cd .... J'ai réussi à accéder à mon /boot/grub/menu.lst ( après un bout de temps quand même ... on apprend aussi comme ça!) mais impossible de mettre à jour ( sudo update-grub ) avec le cd!
Il y a des infos à droite/à gauche ... mais c'est resté hermétique pour moi!
À savoir que mon grub est sur mon "/" en sda2 ( h0,1) : j'ai un seul HDD avec sda1 ( vista ) sda3 ( /home ) sda4 (swap )

Si qqu'un pourrait me détailler clairement la manière d'y arriver !

Tu n'as pas à mettre à jour par sudo update-grub quand tu modifies menu.lst de cette façon. Cela se fait automatiquement : quand tu démarreras le PC, il prendra en compte les modifs que tu as faites dans le menu.lst

En fait, quand j'ai fait mon partitionnement manuel à l'install, j'ai bien installé grub dans la racine '/' ( ce qui correspond chez moi à sda2 )! Je prend soin de modifier le drapeau ( =boot ) avec Gparted du live-cd!
Donc, normalement, au redémarrage, je devrais tomber sur grub !
Eh bien non ( à moins que j'ai raté qqchose! ce qui ne serait pas étonnant!) : j'ai du faire un :
sudo grub --batch
grub>find /boot/grub/stage1
grub>root (hd0,1)
grub>setup (hd0)
quit

... et uniquement là, au rebooot, je suis tombé sur grub!

Je pensais qu'en modifiant seulement le drapeau dans Gparted, on pouvait jongler avec les bootloader vista/ubuntu ..... à priori non, à moins que ça a changé!

J'ai rencontré actuellement qu'une seule machine qui avait un problème avec 9.04, j'ai viré ces deux cartes nvidia avec leurs gros ventilateurs pour mettre une vrai carte vidéo et tout est rentré dans l'ordre. Pourtant ces cartes marchaient avant sur les anciennes versions d'ubuntu mais pour pouvoir passer en ext4 je n'ai pas hésité. De toutes façon je trouvais étrange que le choix de la carte de sortie vidéo soit dans le bios !

En parcourant le forum, il semblerait qu'avec le dernier pilote nvidia 180.51 pour ma carte, le problème semblerait résolu! Je dis bien semblerait : ça ne serait pas systématique!
Depuis j'ai pratiquement fini de ré-installer/ paramétrer Ibex!
Il faudra que je me lance dans un triple-boot.

Mais avouons-le , ces pbs de pilote reste le gros point noir de gnu/linux : j'ai entendu parlé des projets libres  Nouveau / Renouveau qui géreraient la 3D! Vivement que ça aboutisse pour qu'on puisse s'affranchir des pilotes fermés des fabricants!
Ça fait 2 fois que je suis confronté au même pb : maj kernel intrépid + upgrade intrépid/jaunty! ... C'est un peu (très galère) ... mais quand on aime, on compte pas!
Enfin, comme disait qq'un sur ce même forum : à quand un changement de version nickel pour tout le monde?

C'est peut-être possible mais en plus, il faut installer Grub sur le secteur de boot de la partition Ubuntu. C'est à dire dans ton cas :
sudo grub --batch
grub>find /boot/grub/stage1
grub>root (hd0,1)
grub>setup (hd0,1)
quit 
Tu as bien vu : c'est setup (hd0,1) au lieu de setup (hd0)
Mais je ne suis pas certain que ça fonctionne car je mets toujours Grub sur (hd0)

J'ai adopté grub comme amorçeur par défaut ! De là je boot sur ce que je veux!

Par ailleurs, aurais-tu une piste sur l'option obligatoire "nolapic" en F6 pour que  mon live-cd ou clé usb bootable
démarre? Car ensuite, j'ai un message qui ressemble à ça :
"Bios Bug local apic # 0 not detected"  .... qu'est-ce qu'il n'a pas détecté dans le bios dont il aurai besoin pour démarrer normalement? Y a t-il qqchose à y modifier?

Non. GRUB sera bien installé dans le secteur d'amorçage de la partition sda2, mais la copie précédente présente dans le MBR du disque sera toujours là. Il n'y a pas moyen de "désinstaller" GRUB du MBR ou d'un quelconque secteur d'amorçage. Pour (re)mettre l'amorceur de Windows Vista [Bootmgr] ou un autre amorceur dans le MBR, il faudra suivre la procédure d'installation ou de restauration de cet amorceur-là.

Ok, j'ai compris! Et comme un c.. (et parce que je l'avais fait une 1ere fois sans souci il y a environ 1 an = sûr de moi ??!!), je n'ai pas fait de sauvegarde du MBR!
Pour l'instant, ce n'ai pas vraiment gênant .. c'est grub qui amorçe vista par défaut avec un délai à 0 seconde! Dc, c'est quasi-transparent!
Je vais le laisser comme ça pour le moment!
Par contre, quand je vais virer complètement 9.04 de son pc ... que vais-je avoir au moment du boot?

d' 1 autre côté, conserver 1 ubuntu de base offre 1 secours/maintenance

Une erreur. Ton ordinateur ne saura amorcer aucun système.

Comme je l'ai dit, il faudra que tu réinstalles Bootmgr ou un autre amorceur d'un autre système d'exploitation dans le MBR de ton disque dur. Les amorceurs ne sont pas des programmes qui se désinstallent, contrairement à d'autres logiciels. Ils sont comme les systèmes d'exploitation : il ne peuvent pas être désinstallés, ils ne peuvent qu'être écrasés (par un autre amorceur ou pas du vide, sauf que le vide ne te permettra de charger aucun système d'exploitation).

tu peux conserver /boot avec /boot/grub, partition de quelques mégas

tu conserves ta partition avec /boot, tu eFfaces le reste, tu la réduis à 10Mo, et tu garderas grub en bootmanager.
Sinon comme dit alexandreP il te faudra réinstaller 1 bootmanager.

Edit: il faudra modifier l' UUID dans menu.lst, à toi de voir.
