installation xubuntu 24,04 sur asus x751m
Salut,
J'essaie d'installer xubuntu 24,04 sur un Asus X751M => échec
J'ai aussi essayé d'installer xubuntu 22,04 => idem.
À titre de test, j'ai installé debian 12,9 (le package Debian-Facile) et là pas de problème.
J'ai recommencé l'installation de xubuntu 24,04 en conservant la partion /boot/efi VFAT de 500 Mo et en écrivant sur la partion debian... même problème => erreur.
Il me semble que le problème vient de l'installation de grub en EFI. J'ai enregistré le log de l'installation (il n'y a que la fin du fichier, là où l'installation s'arrête) :

Bonjour , c' est dans ta toute 1ere photo .
Tous les BIOS ne supportent pas un setup complet : UEFI / LEGACY / CSM .
ce qui a l' air d' être le cas de cet ordi . soit tu actives CSM ( ou pas ) et alors tu as les 2 possibilités mélangées , soit tu le désactives et tu as une des 2 possibilités ( UEFI ou LEGACY sans qu ' on sache vraiment lequel des 2 ) ( qui est aussi l ' option prioritaire lorsque le CSM est activé ) .
pour que ce soit bien clair :
je ne vois pas comment basculer de EFI en Legacy...
c' est impossible sur ce BIOS . tu ne peux que activer ou désactiver CSM .
Tu pourrais tenter une MAJ du BIOS ce qui , peut être , compléterai le setup UEFI / LEGACY / CSM .
Tout ca donne l ' impression que canonical se rapproche de plus en plus de l' obsolescence programmée non ?

Bonjour.
Il serait bon que tu fasses un boot-info et que tu publies l'URL qui sera générée.
Il est probable que ton bios interdise avec raison la modification de la nvram par n'importe qui.
Dans ce cas, l'installateur, en réprésailles, n'installe pas le grub.
Si tel est le cas, un lancement de boot-repair, installera quand même le grub, En punission, c'est toi qui devra dire à ton bios de booter ubuntu.
Nota. J'ai vu que ta seconde photo, le secure boot est disable.
Donc, cerise sur le gateau, boot-repair, ne t'imposera pas le logiciel du bios sécurité appelé shimx64.efii qui est une trés mauvaise implantatation.
Dans mon ordinateur EFI sécurisé il produit plus de 1000 lignes d'erreurs alors que je n'ai aucun problème de démarrage windows.
Ta troisième photo, le montre enable, Dans ce cas, c'est le programme mokutil qui doit introduire les clés de ubuntu. Il est possible que cela dialogue mal si le bios n'est pas à la dernière norme EFI.

Tout le logiciel de boot me semble bien installé .
Seule la nvram a un problème.
SecureBoot disabled - This system doesn't support Secure Boot.
No BootOrder is set; firmware will attempt recoveryA priori, c'est à toi depuis le bios de choisir le fichier de boot
/efi/ubuntu/grubx64.efi si tu restes en secure boot déactivé.
ou
/efi/ubuntu/shimx64.efi si tu passes en secure boot activé.
C'est certainement dans l'onglet boot.
Pour le bonjour c'est une erreur de mise en forme.

Je défie QUICONQUE de trouver une discussion où j'aurais suggéré de remplacer un SSD par un disque dur.

Merci Geole pour tes infos.
Rien à faire, l'installation bloque toujours au même endroit malgré le chemin spécifié dans le bios (/efi/ubuntu/grubx64.efi).
Bon, comme il faut que je rende le PC à son propriétaire, j'ai installé Debian 12 qui passe sans problème...
