Captures video via firewire

Bonjour à tous,
Sur mon PC tour j'ai installé une carte interface firewire pour y connecter un camescope.
Comment configurer cette acquisition video ?
Fait il installer un logiciel spécifique ?
Comment configurer Ubuntu pour "voir" cette entrée et pouvoir importer des videos ?
Merci pour vos conseils.

Il faudrait voir si le noyau reconnait ta carte Firewire.
Branche la et donne le retour des dernières lignes

sudo dmesg

Il y a 15 ans, j'avais été obligé de recompiler le noyau

Ces deux lignes tentent à prouver que ton module firewire est reconnu :

Si la carte firewire est bien reconnue, y a t-il un moyen de vérifier q'elle est fonctionnelle ?
J'ai eu des problèmes d'acquisition vidéo avec Magix video de luxe sous win.
Difficile de savoir si c'est la sortie firewire du camescope, le câble, ou la carte.....
En désespoir de cause, j'utiliserai un convertisseur analogique-numérique via USB....

Il existe dvgrab pour récupérer les données des camescopes.
C'est en ligne de commande. Je ne sais pas s'il existe un logiciel graphique pour le faire
