Salut les gens.
Bloqué en 1024 x 768 après mise à jour ce matin proposée par Ubuntu 23.04 kernel 6.2.

- Suis en pilote proprio:
- Kernel Linux 6.2.0-1007-lowlatency
- Un truc curieux: les pref de Ubuntu montre pour Carte graphique: Software Rendering
- Système fenêtrage X11

Oui j'ai testé les autres options, mais je n'ai plus Wayland (je l'avais il y a peu, c'était plus lent et instable), J'ai au choix:
Ubuntu, GNOME Classique et Bureau Budgie
Aucun changement de résolution avec ces options.

Essaye avec le noyau 6.2.0-24.
Démarrer sur un noyau précédent
- redémarre en tapotant les touches Majuscules ou Echap
- à l'apparition du menu de grub, descends avec la flèche bas, sur la ligne :Linux previous versionsou
Advanced options for Ubuntu- valide
- choisis un noyau autre que le plus récent.
- valide et laisse le pc poursuivre son démarrage.
Quand on a réussi à afficher le menu de GRUB, il faut alors aller sur la deuxième ligne (Advanced options for Ubuntu ou Options avancées pour Ubuntu en français) puis valider pour faire apparaître un sous-menu où il est alors possible de choisir une autre version de noyau.

Testé. Je n'ai que des noyaux 6.2.0 -1007, - 1005 et - 24 et leur version "Recovery". Rien de plus ancien. Chacun ne change rien.
En mode "Recovery", j'ai tenté de réparer les paquets cassé. Rien de changé.

Chez moi les version antérieures comme la 470 ne fonctionne pas non plus.
Donc on a plus qu'à attendre que Nvidia se bouge les fesses. Merci les gens.

Salut , as tu tenté de déplacer ton fichier xorg.conf ?
d' apres ce que j' ai vu , dans certains cas , ca permet de resoudre la situation .
au #1 :
Mon fichier xorg.conf:
# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig # nvidia-xconfig: version 430.26 ....
qui semble de toute manière ne pas etre generé par le bon pilote nvidia .
par exemple simplement le renommé en xorg.conf.old , puis redemarrer l' ordi .

Salut , as tu tenté de déplacer ton fichier xorg.conf ?.
Oui j'ai testé: depuis l'ordi ne démarre plus du tout... Gros plantage sur ce conseil.
Situation bien pire qu'avant. Cela m'apprendra à suivre les conseils qui ne sont pas précis.
J'utilise un portable.
J'ai renommé xorg.conf en xorg.conf.old. J'y ai placé un fichier texte "xorg.conf" avec tes infos
Après reboot, il bloque après le début de la partie graphique (le disque blanc avec les 3 gouttes), ensuite revient sur le texte avec affichant "var/lib/snapd/snaps/shotcut_1104 can't open blockdev" (Pourtant j'avais shooté et purgé Shotcut)
Ensuite après quelques redémarrages, je découvre que dans etc/X11 je n'ai plus xorg.conf.old ou xorg.conf. Disparus.
J'ai recréé un fichier avec les infos de base. Rien ne change.
J'ai tenté une réparation avec le recovery mode, je peux actualiser le grub mais je ne peux pas faire une vérification du système de fichiers. Il stoppe immédiatement avec message: "e2fsck: ne peut continuer".
Là j'ai lancé Ubuntu depuis un DVD d'installation et je peux bidouiller le système. Pour l'instant je ne trouve pas de soluce.

insere la clé USB d ' ubuntu , demarre en choisissant essayer , et renomme le en xorg.conf , redemarre , ca devrait rentrer dans l' ordre .
c' est aussi possible de remettre le fichier en place en mode recovery .
comment ca xorg.conf.old et xorg.conf ont disparus ???
essaye de voir si tu ne les as pas déplacés ailleurs par mégarde :
en mode recovery avec la commande suivante :
sudo find / -iname xorg.confsudo find / -iname xorg.conf.old---------------------------------------------
J'y ai placé un fichier texte "xorg.conf" avec tes infos
il fallait simplement renommé le fichier xorg.conf que tu avais en place , en xorg.conf.old .
je n' ai jamais dis de recreer un autre fichier xorg.conf avec du code a mettre dedans .

Parfois, trop d'info tue l'info... 
Je l'ai fait en 2 étapes si je me souviens bien. D'abord renommer xorg.conf en .old > reboot >
pas de démarrage. Ensuite recréer le xorg.conf > reboot > pas de démarrage.

Et oui le xorg.conf n'est plus dans etc/X11. Même celui minimal que j'avais refait selon un autre forum. Avec Nautilus ouvert avec sudo. Ce matin, il n'est plus là non plus.

Salut , bon ben pas de trace du xorg.conf original ...
Bon , du coup actuellement , la seule option que je vois pour remettre ca d' aplomb en mode recovery , c ' est de supprimer le pilote nvidia , pour revenir au pilote libre : nouveau . puis au besoin reinstaller le pilote nvidia , il recreera ce fichier si besoin .
Avant de te lancer , attend l ' avis d ' autres intervenants , mais je pense qu ' il n' y a plus trop le choix . en rapport du bug mis en evidence par @nany , peut etre qu ' il vaut mieux rester sur le pilote libre temporairement , tant qu ' il n' est pas corrigé .

Là démarré avec la clef USB, dans le terminal, fait un sudo apt upgrade, il m'annonce 504 paquets à mettre à jour et 1 GB à pomper.
Je commence par ça, et ensuite j'essaie de shooter le pilote Nvidia et réinstall version open.

On ne fait jamais les mises a jour sur un live USB , c ' est le meilleur moyen de le rendre inutilisable .
ta session live , travaille sur la clé , pas dans ton systeme installé sur le disque dur .
si tu fais les MAJ , tu vas changer le noyau de la clé . Comme c ' est un mode special , la mise a jour du noyau rendra ta clé inutilisable , car c' est prevu pour etre MAJ a partir d' un systeme installé sur disque . pas en session live standard .
il faut juste te servir de la session live tel quel .

... trop tard. T'as raison, la clef ne se lance plus.
Pas grave, j'ai un DVD avec 20.04. Là au moins il n'y pas de risque de l'effacer...
J'ai démarré Ubuntu en mode Recovery, accédé à la console en root et de là shooté le pilote Nvidia.

J'ai installé le pilote Nvidia 525.125.06, qui est le plus réçent uploadé sur le site Nvidia: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx
--> Reboot et il démarre à la bonne résolution. Dans "Logiciels et mises à jour / Pilotes additionnels, il indique utiliser le X.org X Server, et pas la 525."
Pour l'instant, seule la version X.org fonctionne à peu près bien, que ce soit sous fenêtrage Ubuntu ou Xorg Ubuntu.
Problème partiellement résolu car bugs:
- Le Brightness Controller ne fait plus d'effet (déjà arrivé avant avec d'autres versions de driver).
- Divers problèmes d'affichage de l'interface, rendu d'icônes, etc. Sélection de grandes portions de texte avec un délai.
- Quand j'essaie de passer sur la version du driver open kernel 535, 530, 525, cela retombe en mode 1024x768.
- La version 450 donne carrément le fond gris > Passe en mode recovery / fond gris et bloque
- Il ferme la session tout seul de manière aléatoire.
Donc passablement instable pour l'instant.
Un truc curieux, peut-être pas lié au pilote: a chaque fois que la session plante et que je la réouvre, le système affiche "Une mise à jour a été installée", même quand apparemment ce n'est pas le cas.. Ça dure depuis 2-3 semaines.
