Lancement du PC à 3 mn 20 et Firefox à 2 mn 58

Bonjour à tous,
Je suis sous Ubuntu depuis 2006, mais pas geek pour autant. J'aime bien l'informatique, mais j'ai d'autres sujets prioritaires, et sur ce sujet de la lenteur de lancement de mon PC, j'ai déjà cherché, sans résultat probant.

Mon PC est un Asus UX410U, voici qq infos le concernant :
Diagonale d'écran     14 pouces
Définition d'écran     1920 x 1080
Poids     1.4 kg
Processeur     Intel Core i5-8250U
RAM     8 Go
Carte graphique     Intel HD 620

Je suis sous Ubuntu 22.10, Gnome 43.1, avec un système de fenêtres Wayland et 8 go de mémoire.

Donc, comme dit dans le titre, j'ai mesuré le temps de lancement : 3 mn 20 pour arriver à mon bureau, puis qd je lance Firefox, il faut 2 mn 58 pour voir apparaitre le premier onglet. Ensuite, les onglets se lancent correctement, surtout que j'ai la fibre. Ca fait qd même plus de 5 mn depuis le lancement. Quand je vois mon irréductible mari resté sous Windows qui lance son PC et qui s'ouvre quasi instantanément, j'avoue que ça me fait rêver.

Alors, j'ai décidé d'y arriver ! Mais que faire ?
Faut il que je fasse une install toute propre dans qq jours, après la dernière version ? J'ai déjà testé ça il y a qq années.  Tant que le PC est vide, tout roule. Mais dès que je remets mes paramètres, que j'installe des paquets, que je remets mes gigas de fichiers, je retrouve mes problèmes de lenteurs.

Est ce un problème de Swap - que je ne suis pas capable de gérer toute seule - ?
Est ce un problème de driver ?
Dois je mettre plus de chose sur DD externe ?

Montre, en te servant du Retour utilisable de commande :

systemd-analyze time
systemd-analyze blame --no-pager
systemd-analyze critical-chain
snap list

et :

df -Th
ls -l /var/crash
dpkg -l | grep -v ^ii

Pour purger les résidus de configuration marqués "rc" :

sudo apt purge ~c

comme expliqué à la machine à café et rajouté dans ce message

A priori, j'ai fait tout ce que j'ai pu avec les posts que tu m'as envoyés.

Je viens de relancer mon PC pour tester, rien n'a changé, malheureusement. 3mn20 pour arriver sur le bureau, et même 3 mn 15 pour arriver sur cet onglet.

As tu peut-être autre chose à me proposer ?

Il y a un problème de disque dur.
Que donnent ces commandes ?

sudo fdisk -l
cat /etc/fstab

Installe Smartmontools avec :

sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends smartmontools 

Récupère les données Smart avec :

 sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda

Un problème résolu ? Indiquez le en modifiant le titre du sujet.

On sait que les snaps ralentissent le système.

Tu peux essayer :

sudo snap remove vlc
sudo apt install vlc

Tu devrais commenter la ligne suivante dans ton Fstab :

/dev/disk/by-id/usb-WD_Elements_10B8_575842314143343253595431-0:0-part1 /mnt/usb-WD_Elements_10B8_575842314143343253595431-0:0-part1 auto nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show 0 0

On vois dans les traces système que le système attends d'accéder à ce disque. Cela ralenti forcément le démarrage.

Les disques USB ne doivent pas être ajoutés dans le Fstab, par défaut. Ce type de disque externe n'étant pas toujours branché au démarrage. Normalement, ils se montent automatiquement lors du branchement.

Ton Sda a 32 secteurs non lisibles et non réalloués.
Il a subi quelques chocs  : G-Sense_Error_Rate = 872.

On va d'abord voir ce que ça donne sans le disque USB dans le Fstab. Pour Sda, on verra ensuite, si le démarrage n'est pas plus rapide.

J'avais proposé  :

sudo snap remove vlc
sudo snap remove vlc~

sans un tilde à la fin, comme visible au #16.

C'est un ppa géré par Mozilla, je ne sais pas comment il est actualisé.

Inbox, je te fais ça dès que j'ai trouvé comment on lance "Fstab"
xubu1957, j'ai fait cette commande plus haut, et j'ai marqué le retour que VLC n'était pas installé avec Snap

Bon, Inbox, je ne trouve rien de probant sur Fstab et histoire de ne pas faire de bêtise, peux tu m'aiguiller ? J'ai bien tapé ta demande dans le terminal, mais la réponse, sans appel, est : aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type

Il faut éditer le fichier /etc/fstab et commenter la ligne indiquée par inbox .

sudo nano /etc/fstab
