Bonjour,

Est ce que tu as mis le kernel que tu as compilé hier ?

Le msg :

Il te faut ton kernel image (tu l'as) le headers et le restricted correspondant.

Est ce que tu as linux-headers-2.6.12- (9, 10, enfin le nr du kernel utilisé) et linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12- (9, 10, enfin le nr du kernel utilisé)
Par exemple moi j'ai : linux-headers-2.6.12-10
linux-headers-2.6.12-10-686-smp
linux-image-2.6.12-10-686-smp
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-10-686-smp

Ben j'ai 2.6.12.2 (de toute façon c'est celui que benouil m'a fait compiler) et il n'y a pas de headers 2.6.12.2 dans le synaptic par exemple ... pour l'image c'est bon, Restricted pareil 2.6.12.2 n'existe pas.......................

J'ai bien compris, mais pour installer un driver il te faut les headers de ton noyau (ceux qui t'ont servi à compiler ton kernel)

il te faut les kernel-source configurées pour installer le .run de nvidia

Dans le msg d'erreurs

the kernel module was built using the wrong kernel source files.

En gros, tu n'as pas les sources de ton kernel

de plus je ne sais même pas si c'est la version 2.6.12 pile poil ou si c'est 2.6.12.x ......... c'était censé marcher comme ça on ne m'avait pas dit "ensuite il va falloir que tu galères pendant 72 autres heures pour pouvoir lancer ton .run" j'ai linux depuis maintenant un peu plus de 3 jours faut pas oublier que je ne sais pas compiler tout seul!

Oui, c'est pour ça que je te disais de plutôt faire ça :

Tu gardes
linux-image-k7 2.6.12.16.1
dans synaptic, tu sélectionne tout le reste pour suppression complète
linux-headers-2.6.12-9-k7
linux-headers-2.6.12-9
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-10-k7
linux-restricted-modules-common
linux-restricted-modules-k7,
sauf les
nvidia-glx
nvidia-kernel-common
nvidia-settings
que tu sélectionnespour réinstallation

Et tu sélectionnes pour installation les (je pensais qu'ils étaient dans synaptic)
linux headers2.6.12.16-k7
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12.16-k7

Et ensuite tu aurais pu essayer avec les drivers d'Ubuntu .

Est ce qu'en démarrant sur ton ancien kernel (echap au démarrage), tu ne peux pas supprimer ce kernel optimisé et réinstaller un 2.6.12-10 par exemple (avec les headers et restricted correspondant) ?

A l'install tu as un 386 (valable pour tout) et tu peux installer pourAMD un k7

Ouais je viens de tout refaire et PA - REIL! de plus c'est assez vieux et pour une version antérieure de pilote nvidia (7xxxx)

Je crois que je vais repasser sous windows ce sera plus simple -_-

Ceci est un exemple, une procédure, les commandes sous Debian et Ubuntu sont similaires, les 2 utilisant apt-get.

C'est comme lorsque l'on dit : ~$ sudo dpkg -i nomdupaquet.deb. , c'est une commande à adapter.

Sur le lien que je t'ai donné, c'est la procédure qu'il faut suivre, les numéros de version de kernel et de driver nvidia ne sont là que pour l'exemple.

Mais, ceci mis à part, tu choisis la difficulté.
Compiler un noyau pour mettre un driver de carte graphique, au bout de 3 jours sur Ubuntu, c'est rare je crois.
Dans les dépots, il y a les drivers nvidia, pas les derniers, c'est vrai.
Mais l'important c'est d'avoir la 3D.
Après pour pratiquer le bi-écran, c'est une histoire de xorg.conf.
Il ne faut pas ètre trop pressé, il y a un temps d'apprentissage.
Tu as bien du apprendre à te servir de Windows ?
Et je suppose qu'au bout de 3 jours de Windows, tu n'as pas du t'amuser à vouloir modifier à la main les valeurs de ta base de registre ? (c'est un exemple...)
Prends ton temps, règle ta Breezy correctement, et fin avril tu passeras sous Dapper, et tu auras déjà compris beaucoup de choses.
Tiens regardes (sous Dapper) le driver nvidia :

" En ce moment, nous sommes en noyau 2.6.15-16.
La version du linux-restricted est 2.6.15.6-1 qui correspond bien au package nvidia-glx est 1.0.8178+2.6.15.6-1"

Mais prends ton temps, apprends, documente toi dans le Wiki, le Forum et ça roulera tout seul.

Ok mais, j'ai l'impression d'être le seul à avoir ce problème... sur google/linux quand je tape ne serais-ce que "8178" je tombe sur des problèmes qui ne sont pas les même que moi, quand je tape "no precompiled kernel interface............" c'est pareil rien qui puisse m'aider, j'ai cherché avec plein de mots clés et rien de rien qui puisse réglé mon problème, j'ai passé des heures à "essayer" si ou ça, et toujours rien.
J'utilise la sortie TV tous les jours et j'en ai besoin tous les jours, je ne vais pas retourner sous windows à chaque fois que je veux utiliser la sortie TV.... Regarde, toi et benouil vous êtes assez expérimenté j'ai l'impression, pourtant vous ne comprennez pas vous-même mon problème de sortie TV, comment est-ce que moi je peux le comprendre...
Il faut absolument que j'arrive à régler ce problème j'ai vraiment pas envie de devoir rebooter à chaque fois que je dois mettre ma sortie TV... Alors certes j'ai appris des choses, des commandes et je commence à comprendre le fonctionnement des kernels etc c'est vrai, mais j'ai quand-même l'impression d'être tout seul à galérer comme ça, à croire que personne n'a de CG XFX 6800 GT sous linux
Pourtant sur le site du driver il y a marqué :

Bah j'aimerai bien savoir depuis quand -___-

Mon xorg.conf je l'ai retourné dans tous les sens et ça ne m'a mené à rien si ce n'est que j'arrivai à passer l'écran sur la TV mais jamais les deux en même temps......

Tiens, voilà la tête de ma TV maintenant, pas pu m'empêcher de la prendre en photo, ça fait la même chose que quand je viens tout juste d'installer ubuntu, pour info, les couleurs bougent en fonction de ce qui se passe sur mon écran -__- :

Ca me fait penser a un windows avec une résolution de 1280x1024 alors que l'écran ne supporte que 640x480.

J'ai un peu googleisé et j'ai rien trouvé de probant...

C'est quoi, ta résolution au fait ?

attends parceque là, je viens de réussir à installer les drivers, il fallait :

choper build-essential
gcc-3.4
et virer nvidia-kernel-source

faire :

CC=gcc-3.4
Export CC
sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8178-pkg1.run

du coup ben ils sont installé, mais ma TV ne redetecte plus rien, écran noir comme avant -_____________________________-

ps : ma résolution était 1024x748 mais celle de la TV étant censée etre en 640

ah, et j'ai une erreur "failed to initialize HAL!" mais bon ça n'a pas l'air de poser de problème je regarderai ce que c'est

EDIT :

ok ya du nouveau, quand j'ai réinstallé nvidia-glx et tout le bazarre pour mettre à jour le xorg, au reboot il m'a mi une merde comme quoi j'avais la version 1.0-8178 d'installé mais que j'avais un kernek 7xxx ou quelque chose de ce style là, heureusement que j'avais un backup de xorg qui s'est fait automatiquement parcequ'a force de formater j'oublie -____- du coup je suis repassé en 7xxx, et pour info, les couleurs sur l'écran de la TV s'affichent comme ça même sans activer de mod TV

mais tu vois, ne serais-ce que la barre qui clignote quand tu tapes un texte là ici dans ce forum par exemple, ça fait clignoter 1/4 de l'écran en bleu & violet
