[non résolu mais évité...] No screen found...

Bonjour à tous!
Je viens de faire une réinstall server, sur laquelle j'ai rajouté kde (pas kubuntu-desktop, kde tout court). Kde marche avec le driver nv, mais pas avec le driver nvidia, que j'ais installé en suivant à la lettre le tuto du wiki.
L'ordi boot normalement, mais ne lance pas x. Quand je tente un startx, j'obtiens "no screen found", avec erreur 104 de xorg...
J'ai bien sur fait une recherche sur le forum, mais aucun résultat n'a fonctionné chez moi...
Je précise que j'ai testé sur 2 kernels différents, le 2-6-12-9 de base et le 2.6.12-10-686, pour lesquels j'ai installé à chaque fois linux-restricted-modules, et linux-image correspondant.

J'ais testé avec une autre carte nvidia (gforce 2... il me semble) et tout marche niquel...
Mais comme cette carte est vraiment, vraiment fatiguée (fait planter l'ordi des que je lance une appli 3D), je doit garder ma vielle TNT2.
Jais installé xfce, comme ça, mais même résultat.

G testé nvidia-glx-legacy, mais aucune amélioration.

Je commence sérieusement à désespérer là, en + j'avais eu aucun problème avec Hoary... C'est quoi cette régression?
