coucou me revoila

en live encore, j'ai pu constater ceci :

je demmarre wind 2 (en effet il y avait 2 choix ?)

et que je veux demmarrer ubuntu j'obtient

Error 15 : file not found

alors je retourne sur boot.ini et je redem. xp

Tu vois les différents choix de grub une fois que tu choisis
Ubuntu dans le boot.ini donc??

il faut lister le contenu de /boot:

sudo umount -a
sudo mount /dev/sda3 /mnt

puis donne le retour de

ls /mnt/boot

Je cherche à comprendre :
Le pc boot sur la partition amorcable win qui est sda2 (cf fdisk -l du premier post) qui contient grub qui va chercher le menuls dans sad3.... en gros c'est ca???

sandry, il dit qu'il ne trouve pas un fichier, or ils sont la.

Peut être un problème du contenu du cd, les fichiers seraient endommagés??
je ne sais pas. Pour moi tout est la.

Tu peux refaire une réinstalle
en cliquant juste avant sur le bouton advanced
puis remplacer (hd0) par (hd0,2).

Puis récupérer le fichier grub.bs comme on a fait,
le placer dans dans C:\

Pas besoin de toucher au boot.ini, c'est déjà fait

pour info
c'est que sur un autre pc j'avais plusieurs recup de l'image iso d'ubuntu

mais dans ce cas j'ai installé le cd du mois "original" qui m'as ete envoyé avec le livre
Simple comme ubuntu"
je sais pas si ca un rapport avec le lien mais je precise
je peux peut etre voir sous wind si grub.bs et sur c/ a mois qu'il soit caché

grub.bs est bien sous C:\,
je l'ai vérifié. Si tu réinstalles ubuntu
il faut remplacer ce grub.bs par le nouveau.
car je me rapelle de deux erreurs lorsqu'on l'a installé sur sda3

puis je le modifier a cet endroit?? j'ose pas trop

ou bien il faut faire la modif en ouvrant le menu.lst ?
et je pensais a:

car je pense que si je dois modifier qlq chose il faut ouvrir le fichier
et non le fichier listé dans le terminal?

est la je vois le menu.lst ok

maintenant j'ouvre le menu lst avec :
sudo gedit /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst

je modifie comme tu le demande :

j'ai redemmarrer et ç'à a MARCHER!!!!

mais....il y a un mais...

lorsque j'ai fait une mise à jour tout etait ok
à part une histoire de pilote proprio avec je crois la carte video

donc tout marche impec jusqu'a ce que je redemmarre
et apres l'ecran de connexion: identifiant et mot de passe
ECRAN...........................................beige......................avec souris qui ce balade
et plus rien
peut etre que mon probleme n'a plus rien à voir avec cette section?
mais je voudrai bien savoir comment je dois proceder pour regler ca??

message perso:
En tout cas ce que Safinaz a fait pour moi est FORMIDABLE,
sur le plan technique et rapidité (les pros doivent le savoir!)........impressionnant
on regrette meme que sa ce termine... (l'histoire pas les problemes !!!)

Mais par dessus tout (linux ou pas/ informatique ou pas/dual boot ou pas)
c'est la main tendue (qlq soit le domaine)qui compte.
D'ailleurs ce qui est assez "bizzare" c'est ce sentiment que j'ai ou je me dis
que je pourrai certainement rien faire pour renvoyer comme un...........comment dire?...........un "genre d'ascenseur quoi!",
ca pourrait etre dans 1 domaine que je maitrise , un regard, une poignée de main ou un sourrire, peu importe......(c'est le pincement au coeur du debutant qui parle,je suis vraiment touché)
Se lancer aussi des defis c'est pas mal non plus
ca ma fait vraiment plaisir

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

essaye de choisir
vesa
comme carte graphique

gestionnaire de mise à jour,
erreur survenue
