c'est la compilation qui s'est mal passé !

Salut je vient de réinstaller ubuntu et je voullais remettre le driver 8.42.Mais apres avoir téléchargé le driver ati sur mon bureau je fais ; cd ~/Desktop

il me répond: bash: cd: /home/lionel/Desktop: Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type

J'ai suivit a la lettre les methode how-to officiel et apres reboot je me retrouve avec ca

Bon, après avoir installé cette version 42.3 j'ai, comme beaucoup, rencontré quelques soucis notament avec les lecteurs video (mplayer, totem...) sauf vlc: En fait, l'extension XVideo n'était pas activée !
Après avoir testé OpenArena, j'ai aussi constaté un problème de clipping. Le fichier xorg.conf qui suit m'a permis de tout remettre dans l'ordre:

- Plus de problème de video ni de clipping dans le jeu. smile

Pour ce qui est du bureau 3D, étant sous Feisty 64, compiz-fusion ne marche pas (même en suivant les tutos) par contre beryl oui. Et sans planter.

Petite info donc, cette config est donc une Feisty 64 avec une ATI XPress200 128 Mo partagée + Beryl 0.30 svn compilé selon le tuto dans la doc.

Tout marche fluide (pour l'instant) donc... Croisons les bras.

Cela semble en tout cas indiquer que tout n'est pas que de la faute du driver: Les problème semble être aussi dû à: - un xorg.conf mal configuré
                   - des paquets 3d peut être pas si stable que ça
                   - un environnement général peut être pas aussi stable que ça également (gusty ?) roll

Tu as blacklisté fglrx dans /etc/defaults/linux-restricted-modules-common ?

Parce que si il voit un mismatch, c'est sans doute qu'il utilise les mauvais drivers ...

Après avoir testé OpenArena, j'ai aussi constaté un problème de clipping. Le fichier xorg.conf qui suit m'a permis de tout remettre dans l'ordre:

tout ceci est très interressant.

peux-tu préciser quels paramètres doit-on ajouter dans le xorg.conf pour activer l'extension Xvideo ?

la je cale a quel stade dois je recommencer , quel est le fichier a supprimer (erreur: incompatible kernel module detected)

je n'ai pas absolument besoin du composite mais c pour le fun , merci d'avance

Exactement le même souci, et je suis dessus depuis un petit moment.
Lorsque je "build" le fglrx-kernel, je n'ai pas de retour comme quoi cela c'est mal passé.
En enlevant les restricted-modules et en les mettant pas de changement. j'ai éssayé les blacklist, etc... toujours pas de changement.

Si j'essaie glxgears j'ai un beau plantage du serveur X qui me ramene au gdm de la je ne peux que reprendre la sessions de secours de Gnome.
Dans cette fameuse session j'essaie

Pour moi l'install s'est bien passée, tout semble fonctionner à merveille (avec une ATI Radeon Xpress X1270).
Compiz est resté de la façon dont il avait été configuré pour le précédent driver (8.40) + XGL mais du coup, je ne peux plus modifier les propriétés de compiz (tout est grisé)!
Pour l'instant , cela ne gène pas trop puisque tout fonctionne et que j'hésite à modifier quoi que ce soit!
Enfin...pour les possesseurs de ce type de carte, cela semble bien fonctionner!;)

Finalement après tentative de réinstallation de compiz, je ne parviens non seulement pas à modifier les options (cases grisées) mais en plus je n'ai plus le contour des fenêtres!:|:(

J'ai le même problème que toi ... impossible de résoudre
même (EE) dans le /var/log/xorg

J'aimerais un topic clair niveau installation :
- dans le 1er post déjà ça support qu'on a DEJA tenté le WIKI ??
- Faut-il config à la main /etc/X11/Xorg.conf ?
- quand faut-il redémarrer? Dans le 1er post c'est pas clair non plus
- faut-il déinstaller via Synapsis les drivers FGLRX avant de tenter une installation? Ou faut-il carrément supprimer tout ce qui contient "fglrx" ? Faut-il redémarrer après les suppressions ?

Un topic clair serait bien car on n'en finit pas de sauter d'un post à l'autre, pourtant les erreurs semblent être les mêmes...

voila j'ai installe les pilote sur mon poutable equipe d'une ati mobility radeon 9600
et j'ai ete dans applications -> ati ...
le menu s'est affiche. j'ai essayer de configurer le 2 ecran et bam sad
plus rien ... ecran noir ...
j'sait pas quoi faire pour reparer ca...
(y a t il un xorg.conf* cree automatiquement par ati quand on modifie la config ? si oui comment le reconnaitre? j'en ai 15000 differents...)
et avoir les deux ecran (pas en clone mais le deuxieme a gauche du premier ...
help plz

Rebonjour,

J'ai à nouveau retenté l'installation de ce driver. J'ai remarqué que lors de mes essais précédents, j'avais laissé cochée la case "pilote d'accélaration graphique ati" dans le menu "système->gestionnaire de pilotes proprio". Je sais pas si c'était ça qui posait problème mais je l'ai désactivé maintenant.

Après cette nouvelle tentative, ça ne marche, hélas, toujours pas... "fglrxinfo" me renvoie encore :

J'ai réussi à installer le driver mon expérience:

Les plus
-Installation du premier coup grace à ce post(avec une x1950 pro)
-le cube marche parfaitement

Les moins

-firefox tourne au ralentit
-quand j'essai de lire une video j'ai l'équivalant d'un ctrl + alt + back
-sur le glxgeartrucmachin j'ai un score bien bas comparé à ma derniere expérience avec un driver ati (c'était avec edguy)


J'ai tout desactivé pour l'instant wait and see...


PS: quelqu'un pourrait m'expliquer quels sont les procédures à suivre pour recompiler tout le bazar à chaque changement de noyaux?
