[Résolu]Problème de résolution en widescreen

Bonjour à tous,

Je suis un nouvel utilisateur de ubuntu et j'aurai souhaité avoir votre avis sur mon problème !
J'ai installé ubuntu 7.04 sur mon pc portable ( un asus A6T-AP014H ) et je n'arrive pas à régler mon écran en 1280x800. J'ai regardé toute la doc mais je n'arrive à rien ... si vous pouviez me donner votre avis !

Peut-être une question bête ... mais as-tu installé le bon driver pour ton chipset nvidia?

Hé bien j'ai essayé d'installer les drivers nvidia-glx-new mais j'ai tout fais planter : x
Donc j'ai remis les nvidia-glx et toujours le même problème ... si quelqu'un aurait une autre idée ?

Bon tu n'as probablement pas tout fait planter mais surement simplement l'interface graphique ou plutot le serveur X.
Pas de panique tu peux toujours revenir à la config précédente  en suivant ces indications :

Et dans ce cas ... je te propose plutôt d'installer ton pilote avec "envy". C'est personnelement le choix que j'ai fait.

Sinon concernant les questions de résolutions d'écran as-tu vu ces pages?

(je te déconseille d'exécuter à nouveau le script de détection automatique)

J'ai tout réinstaller avec Envy et tout marche nickel maintenant ! Merci à toi ! ( résolution 1280x800 en 60Hz )
Pour info, la version des drivers installés est la 100.14.11.

Par contre j'ai du vraiment faire planter le serveur X parce que lorsque je me placais en recovery mode pour essayer de revenir à la config précédente, l'ouverture du fichier xorg.conf avec la commande sudo nano me donnait un fichier vide ( j'avais oublier de faire un backup ).

En tout cas merci bien pour ton aide j'vais continuer à m'y mettre !
