[RESOLU] Beryl + ATI X800 encore et ecnore ...

Avant tout, je peux vous dire que je regrete ma Nvidia 5700, mais bon, elle est plus la.

Je n'arrive pas à faire fonctioner Beryl, j'ai pourtant regarder différents posts, mais j'arrive pas (c'est trop simple avec une Nvidia).
Voici mon messages d'erreur:

Ce que je ne comprend pas c'est que j'ai toujours un driver AIGLX alors que j'ai suivi un tuto GLX ... ???

Salut! Bon je suis débutant dans le monde de Linux mais dans un premier temps essai de voir quelle version de Beryl tu as? Si c'est la 2.1, essai d'installer la 2.0, elle est compatible XGL. Moi ça m'a résolu de nombreux problèmes!

Sinon il semblerait en effet que tu a une session AIGLX, tu démarre bien ta session avec XGL lorsque tu rentre ton identifiant et ton mot de passe?
Dans ce cas là je suis dans l'incapacité de te donner plus d'infos!

J'ai bien crée une session XGL, l'ennui c'est que quand elle démarre, l'image est comme qui dérait reproduite plusieurs fois avec un décalage et entre coupé de ligne horizontale... et bizarrement la souris s'affiche sans souci.

lu, moi aussi j'avais galéré pour le faire fonctionné avec une x800xt....par contre j'avais directement mis les pilotes propriétaire et donc "gflrx" puis installer glx....j'ai depuis résolu pas mal de mes problèmes (cf mon topic ici)

ce qui m'étonne c'est que ton xorgconf n'indique pas "option composite" comme ici:

...essaye de le post quand tu est sous ta session xgl

ensuite comme kepon04, il faut forcer la version du berylcore et beryl en 2.0 :http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/beryl_problemes

et surtout bien verif si xgl est install correctement:http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/xgl_gnome
bon courage, mais bon, c'est avec les galère qu'on apprend

1.ajout composite.
2. le passage à Beryl 0.20
3. et j'ai bien une session XGL.

Mais ca ne marche toujours pas, j'ai toujours une drole d'image lorsque je démarre mas session XGL.

Je n'aurais pas plus facile avec le drivers AIGLX ?

quand tu démarre t'a session xgl normalement tu a un fond gris à la place du fond marron d'ubuntu...
essaye maintenant de mettre option composite en "disable" à la place de "0"

J'ai une X800gt et j'ai eu pas mal de probleme avec beryl il m'en reste un mais beryl fonctionne dans l'ensemble.
As-tu essayé de suivre les procedures detailler ici: http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/beryl_problemes ( pour les ati) ton probleme n'y figure pas mais ça peut marché.

Si je peux me permettre (4 jours de linux) j'ai une ati X800xl, pour pouvoir utiliser Beril, je suis revenu au pilote généric de linux, donc j'ai viré le pilote propriétaire (pour ne pas à me servir de xgl), puis j'ai mis les beryl et beryl core en 2.0 maintenant j'ai le diamant (cube) qui fonctionne sans problème. Le cube ne se voit que si tu joues avec tes bureaux (clic gauche sur le bureau ouvert et fais voyager ta souris , ou joue avec la molette de ta souris). J'ai tellement tatonné que je ne me rappelle pas toutes les étapes, mais si ça peut te servir , tant mieux.

ou bien essaie compiz fusion.....apperement ça à l'air encore mieux que beryl.

autrement je ne peut pas trop t'aider plus que le lien que t'a donné thunderjulien.

Problèmes résolu, j'ai mis le drivers ATI et installé compiz fusion et c'est parti tout seul ...
Y a rien à faire aussi bien sur Windows que sur GNU/Linux, les drivers ATI c'est pas ca...
