Pitit probleme avec une MCP61 (et oui ca existe lol)
Salut a tous,
Deja pour reprendre le titre un MCP61 c'est une GeForce 6100 (nForce 430). En fait j'ai un pc de bureau qui fait office de serveur avec un client/serveur X qui tourne dessus (au cas ou). Donc en fait j'avais jusqu'il y a quelque temps l'accélération graphique, mais avec les dernier pilotes nvidia (installés via ENVY ou le script .run de nvidia) qui posent probleme...
En fait après l'installation j'ai bien l'écran NVIDIA me laissant supposer que j'ai l'accélération graphique, mais lors de l'ouverture de ma session ben ... ca freeze... j'ai que la souris qui arrive bouger et le reste ben tt est figé...ctrl + alt + backspace n'ont aucun effet, le clavier ne répond plus du tout...
Par contre je peux me loggé via ssh et un sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart ne change rien... la commande est exécutée (mais le temps de coupure de gdm est immensément long et infructueux) et l'ecran est tjrs freezé...
Fin voila je suis un peu dérouté... Quelqu'un aurait il une solution?

J'ai pas dit que c'etait mal de faire du graphique sur un serveur, mais j'y mettrai plutot des drivers stable (genre le bon driver libre des familles et pas des gros binaires qui sont mis a jour tous les mois, et qui a chaque nouveau kernel il faut recompiler). J'imagine que tu as une autre machine pour les effets graphiques & co.
Bref c'etait mon idee.

oui j'ai un portable qui a assez de patate sinon je veux bien mettre les anciens drivers... ou des drivers libre mais bon j'aimerais bien avoir un minimum d'utilisation de la CG ... par exemple lors du defilement des pages firefox des fois c'est saccadé ... Enfin voila je comprends pas trop le probleme qu'il y a eu... est ce qu'il existe toujours le projet d'un pilote libre nvidia pour remplacer le tas de bug de nvidia?

voici en etant un peu plus explicite, je viens de relancer une installation du pilote, et au reboot (je fais tout en SSH) voici ske je me prends a l'ouverture de la session :
