[xorg.conf] Un dual screen avec ma 7600 GS

Bonjour à tous, j'ai décidé de faire le grand saut et d'installer Ubuntu en version 7.04, en dual boot sur ma machine.
Puisque je dispose de deux moniteurs lcd (LG L1919s pour être précis) branchés sur ma Nvidia 7600 GS, j'aimerais pouvoir m'en servir tout comme sur Windows. Les tableaux de bord sur l'écran principal, possibilité de glisser librement les fenêtres d'un écran à l'autre, etc.

J'ai déjà tenté pas mal de bidouillages divers, du plus simple (Paramétrer en utilisant le panneau de config Nvidia) aux modifications du xorg.conf, le tout sans résultat satisfaisant. Je n'avais réussi qu'à avoir un bureau étendu, qui n'est pas, à mon sens, pratique, puisque j'ai quelques centimètres d'espace entre les bords de mes moniteurs.

J'ai même l'impression d'avoir bidouillé un peu trop, puisque désormais le panneau de contrôle Nvidia refuse les modifications, et m'affiche une boite de dialogue disant ceci :

The XRandR X extension was not found.  This extension must be supported by the X server and enabled for display configuration settings to be dynamically applicable.

Je viens donc demander l'avis de conaisseurs qui pourraient m'aider à configurer tout ça afin d'y voir plus clair.

Bon, j'ai été un peu plus avant dans les expérimentations, et il m'est apparu que pour une raison obscure, le panneau de contrôle Nvidia ne sauvait pas le fichier xorg.conf.

J'ai donc effectué tous les réglages dans le panneau de configuration, et ensuite j'ai affiché la preview du xorg.conf afin de copier-coller moi même les sections nécessaires, et le résultat est positif.

Ca marche!
