résolution carte intel / ecran dell

bonjour à tous !

bon, je ne vais pas passioner les foules avec un problème de
résolution mais j'ai cherché partout et franchement, là
j'ai plus d'idée...

j'ai une carte intel 845/GL bloqué à la résolution 640*480
sur un écran plat 17", de résol max 1280*1024.

il n'y a qu'1 résol. disponible dans les préférences, bien
dans le xorg.conf il y ait plusieurs résol. possibles,
notamment dans le niveau par défaut 24 :

la redétection/configuration  de la carte avec
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg renvoie une erreur
au redemarrage de WM.

j'ai installé et configuré 915resolution sans que ça change
quoi que ce soit.

je précise que je suis sous dapper, 2nde install.
la première a reconnu directement la bonne résol. (dès le
lancement live cd aussi). J'ai ensuite installé // désinstallé edgy pour des
problèmes de DD, mais là et depuis, la résol. est bloquée en 640*480.

merci, je continue à chercher.

ok c'est résolu, une mise à jour du bios à reglé le probleme !!
