Beryl et ati radeon 9550

Coucou tout le monde

Voila quelques semaines que j'essaie d'installer correctement béryl...mais sans succès, au démarrage de ma session, il prefere tujours utiliser metacity... Je suis sous Ubuntu Dapper.

J'ai pourtant bien suivi  ce tuto : Installer beryl/ubntu/dapper/xgl

Mais sans succès...je suis un êu déçu, c'est au moins le 5ème tuto que j'essaie (ceux du forum icompris) mais sans résultats. Je me suis dit que cela venait sans doute de ma carte graphique puisque que je trouve nulle part de personnes ayant ma carte et ayant beryl....
C'est pour ça que je lance un appel sur ce forum ! lol

je ne sais pas a quoi j'ai touché mais au redémarrage...Ca ne voulait plus démarrer !

J'ai enlevé un truc mis dans le tuto dans le /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom pour pouvoir démrrer ma session normalement

L'erreur affichée était : no matching device section for instance(PCI:0:1:0)found.

Au secours s'il vous plait, j'aimerais repartir sur des bases saines.

C'est a dire installer correctement ma carte graphique, installer xgl convenablement et ensuite beryl !!

Ma carte semble bien installé mais c'est xgl qui bug. Mais j'aimerais désinstaller tout ce que j'ai fait a propos de beryl et xgl mais je ne vois pas comment faire?

Un coup de papatte?

Deja pour ta carte graphique je te conseille d'utiliser le driver "radeon", donc pas de XGL mais AIGLX. Driver "radeon" : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=3803

Ensuite essaye dattendre Edgy, AIGLX est integré, tu auras juste a mettre le driver "radeon" dans ton xorg.conf, puis as installé Beryl, chez moi tt marche avec une RADEON 9600 .

J'ai fait ce que di le tuto pour remplacer les drivers que j'avaient avant, j'ai viré les paquets fglrx et mon fichier xorg.conf ressemble a ca :

Mais j'ai un message me disant sue la gestion alim d'écran n'est plus faite ou un truc comme ca et l'écran s'éteind....
Pourtant, j'ai bien la session de lancée, j'entends les tamtam derrière ^^

Blurg le pilote radeon ne prend pas encore en charge l'accel 3D pour les 9500 9700 et 9800.

@Hamtaro: bizarre selon ton premier post tout à l'air correct. Je pencherai plutot pour une source de probleme venant d'un processeur 64bit. En effet tout n est pas rose en 64bit va voir dans cette section du forum s'il y a des problemes comme le tien.

sinon au démarrage un ptit ctrl+alt+f1 ou f2 pour te retrouver en mode console et remet ati comme driver le temps de tout réinstaller propre avec fglrx.

Quand tu ne sais pas (cherche puis) demande, quand tu sais partage.

J'ai gardé les réglages option du tuot pour le driver radeon...dois je remettre mes anciens ou les rajouter a la suite? Je comprend rien a ma carte graphique !

Bon maintenant que tout remarce, comment je fais pour installer propremet béryl, ou xorg avant?

sinon au démarrage un ptit ctrl+alt+f1 ou f2 pour te retrouver en mode console et remet ati comme driver le temps de tout réinstaller propre avec fglrx.

Ok je savais pas, bizar quand même que ca marche pour la 9600 et pas pour la 9550.

Quitte a passer sous Edgy, je suis partant, ca me permettra de la tester ^^
Mais j'ai parcouru le forum et le passage de dapper a edgy est pas très clair... Existe t il aussi un noyau pour mon processeur? (actuellement k7)

évite de vouloir aller trop vite si déjà tu sais pas config un xorg.conf wink

est ce que tu as direct rendering = yes avc glxinfo | grep direct ??

Sinon pas la peine d'aller plus loin.
Si oui installe XGL et beryl comme dans les tutos.

j'ai bien le yes en question ^^

Mais malgré ça et l'application de divers tuto, beryl foire dans l'install, je suis tout le temps sous metacity...(clignotement de l'écran puis rien...)

nan dsl je n'utilise pas moi meme XGL et beryl donc je ne peux que te proposer les tutos du forums ou du site beryl ou de la doc ici meme.

euh avec edgy y a juste AIGLX d'intégré c est tout, mais comme tu ne peux pas utiliser le driver radeon ça ne changera rien pour toi. Si tu veux du plus simple en fait il faut que tu attendes plutot un nouveau radeon ou carrement un meilleur driver proprio ATI.
