Ubuntu se fige snif ...

Bonjours tout le monde,

Cela fait maintenant 1 mois que j'ai viré windows (j'avais trop envie de taper dans ma tour) pour laisser place à une ubuntu. Il n'y a pas à dire, j'adore, j'aime, je suis accros wink. Ca ne fait donc pas longtemps que je suis sous linux ... j'ai quand même encore un peu de ma l...

Là il se trouve que cette petite merveille souffre encore, visblement, de quelques problèmes de reglages ... Le resultat en est que mon pc s'en retrouve figé sans raisons apparentes (pour moi), de maniere assez aleatoire, mais visiblement pour des actions nescessitant un peu plus de ressources que la normal (lecture d'un Xvid, compilation d'une grosse source, l'installation de KDE <-ouaip, c'est triste!).

Les raccourci type ctrl+alt +bckspace, +tab, +F1, +F2, +Suppr ne fonctionnent pas non plus.

Je suis allé faire quelques recherches sur le net, et je ne rien trouvé ne réglant mon problème. J'ai éffectué toutes les mises à jours, désactivé l'apic et acpi, tester ma ram, vérifié la temperature du processeur, mis en routes les sondes de températures... J'ai également desactivé les options dans le bios du genre pnp et plug n play à la windaube only.

Par contre, j'ai testé mon processeur avec cpuburn (cpuK7), celui ci est un amd athlon XP 2700+. Là, le système se fige, mais rien dans le bios n'indique de débordement de temperature, ni d'anomalies quelquonque.

Je ne comprends pas vraiment ce qu'il se passe là. On dirait un problème hard, mais en même temps sous windows 2000 je n'avais jamais eu ce genre de prob. Je sais bien que linux repose beaucoup plus sur le hard que l'autre saleté, mais à mon avis si c'était hardware, le pc aurait deja fondu depuis longtemps (je l'utilise 24h/24 depuis 2ans).
Et en plus de ces problèmes d'écran figé, j'ai aussi un bon nombre d'application qui se ferment "inopinement" comme la barre gnome ou le selecteur d'espace de travail ... Des fenetres qui se figent (xkill plus fort que ctrl+alt+suppr), à croire que le kernel se prends des fois pour un noyau NT smile.

Re : Ubuntu se fige snif ...

Essaye voir de lancer cpuburn depuis la console, en ayant préalablement désactivé X (/etc/init.d/gdm stop), histoire de voir si c'est X qui pose problème.

Si c'est toujours le cas essaye de lancer cpuburn depuis un rescuecd (genre http://ubcd.sf.net) pour voir si le problème se reproduit.

La sortie de la commande cat /proc/cmdline, de cat /proc/interrupts, lsmod, le fichier /var/log/xorg.log peuvent également s'avérer utiles.

Pour le SATA, je ne pense pas que cela vienne de là, surtout que je n'ai aucun disque sous cette interface.

Par contre, j'ai relancé memtest, et là ... surprise ! : l'alarme de temperature se mit à sonner (elle n'était pas activé au debut).... Mais aucun message d'erreur ne fut signifié par memtest.
Ce qui est bizarre, c'est que jamais celle ci n'avait retenti jusque maintenant, même avec cpuburn.

Durant l'install de XP (ben ouaip, San Andreas est sorti wink ) même problème : l'alarme qui se declanche, le pc qui se bloque ... (passez moi la hache !)

J'ai donc redémonter mon pc pour jeter un oeuil au niveau du microprocesseur et la ... le detail qui tue, Je vois que j'ai un peu de poussière entre le radiateur et le ventilo du proscesseur. Donc je le démonte, et là ... stupeur ! :  j'avais un magnifique lit de poussière de l'épaisseur d'un coton démaquillant qui recouvrait bien 90% de la surface du radiateur... J'ai donc degagé tout ça et lancé un test cpuburn depuis un live CD (Ultra Boot). Je l'ai laissé tourné 30 minutes, jamais encore il n'avait tenu jusque là. Et là ... miracle ! : ça passe.

Je n'ai pour l'instant plus de problèmes, mais cela ne fait pas longtemps non plus qu'il en est ainsi, donc je me prononce avec reserve, mais on dirait que ça fonctionne bien. Je dois encore faire quelques test pour en etre sur et certain.

Hé bien voila, les test ont été effectués avec succès, plus de problèmes de gelures. Tout ça pour un "peu" de poussière... C'était tellement bète comme solution que je m'en tape encore la tete sur le bureau. Problème résolut !

Par contre ce serait peut être une bonne idée d'installer un soft qui te permetttrait de surveiller tes températures pendant quelques temps juste pour pouvoir garder un eoil dessus (surtout en cette période de l'année).

installe acpi ( il faut installer acpi et acpid ) et pour voir la température, tu fais acpi -t .

c'est plutôt pour les batteries de portables ca, il faut plus regarder du côté de lm_sensors pour tout ce qui est sondes de température

ah oui peut-être ... En fait je ne controle le température que sur mon portable donc je sais pas mais avec la chaleur qu'il fait en ce moment, la solution m'intéresse aussi...;)
