Bonjour,
j'ai décidé de tenter l'expérience du double écran.
Seul problème, c'est que je n'ai aucune idée de la manière dont je dois m'y prendre pour configurer tout ça. J'ai cru comprendre en cherchant sur ce forum qu'il fallait deux server X.
Bref, ça me ferait plaisir que quelqu'un m'explique le b à bas du dual screen.

Voici ma config:
Processeur AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (1,5Ghz)
512 Mo Ram (sdram j crois)
Carte graphique nvidia Geforce 5600 fx (256 Mo)

Je me demandais donc s'il était possible, avec cette config de faire du dual screen ou si ça relevait de l'utopie.

Prend le temps de faire des recherches sur le Forum.
Le sujet a fait l'objet de nombreux posts .

Tu devrais trouver comment modifier ton xorg.conf en fonction de ta configuration.

Bonne recherche (le temps passé à rechercher sur le Forum ou la Documentation n'est jamais du temps perdu)

Ouaips, et je n'ai pas attendu que tu me le dises pour le faire :-p
Je n'allais quand même pas attendre que quelqu'un me passe mon xorg.conf tout fait, c'aurait été trop facile.
J'ai trouvé ceci sur Ubuntuforums parce que ici, il n'y a pas grand chose:

I have attached my xorg.conf file. It is a bit of a mess because I have
a lot of hacks and time put into it. The important part for the average
person is the device section for card0 with the special settings for
enabling the second monitor. I have dual SUN workstation monitors that
only support a single resolution/frequency so your monitor values will
be different. I also have all forms of acceleration disabled, glx,
hwcursor, renderaccel. The nvagp option is also uneeded for just about
everyone (I have a dual athlon board with known agp bugs). So let me
distill this out for you:

Obviously there is more to the file, but these are the important pieces.
You must of course have the nvidia drivers installed, the ubuntu guide
has instructions on how to get that done.

Tu exagères, sur ce forum, en recherchant vite fait j'ai trouvé ces posts parmi d'autres:

celui ci , celui la , ou peut être , et encore .

Regarde dans ces posts tu devrais trouver ce que tu cherches...:)

Ah, il y en a 2 que j'avais vu (les 2 premiers) mais les deux autres pas...
Le 3ième à l'air intéressant...
Il y a moyen que je me débrouille avec ce-dernier...
