Problème après une installation Ubuntu réussie !

Bonjour, la communauté de la glace:D, je viens, comme beaucoup, du monde Windows que je connaissais très bien mais voici mon problème :
En suivant les tutos de ce site très bien réalisé d'ailleurs (J'en profite pour vous dire à tous et toutes un grand merci car sans ce site rien n'est possible) et après une installation réussie d'Ubuntu sur un DD externe (160 go), le boot s'effectue bien sur le DD externe (Grub), je choisis Ubuntu à lancer et alors là je dois attendre pas loin de 5 minutes avec un écran noir et un tiret en haut à gauche de l'écran.
Après ces 5 minutes (certainement un scandisk<<terme Windowsien>>) l'Os se charge sans problèmes. Je tiens à signaler également qu'Ubuntu fonctionne parfaitement sinon et je redécouvre l'Open-Source (car j'utilisais sous Windows beaucoup de logiciels Open-Source):D

Ma config :
Portable Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo L1300
Proc Celeron 1,5 Ghz
512 Mo Ram
DD interne 60 go avec la partition Windows Xp
DD externe 160 go avec Ubuntu

Pour ceux et celles qui souhaiterais m'aider, je joins également le Menu.lst du grub :
