Bonjour,
Depuis la nouvelle version d'ubuntu, tout est planté.
Je viens de réussir à ouvrir GNU GRUB version 2.12......mais je ne sais pas aller plus loin

Finalement sujet pas clos.
J'ai réinstallé  20.04 et fait les mises à jour pour passer en 22.04.Ca fonctionne
J'ai réinstallé 20.04 avec un cd de reboot,en parallèle du ubuntu résident sur mon PC afin de ne pas perdre tous les fichiers etc (comme conseillé )
Mais à chaque démarrage, grub s'ouvre et je suis obligé de choisir ubuntu 22.04, sinon le pc démarre tout seul sur ubuntu "résident" qui plante.
Comment éliminer ce résident?

que je comprenne bien , tu veux juste faire demarrer l' ordi sur le ubuntu qui fonctionne correctement , pas supprimer le ubuntu qui ne fonctionne pas qui contient tes fichiers de données ?

il serait quand meme plus propre , selon le cas de figure , soit de transformer l' ancien ubuntu en partition data , soit de recopiés tes données dans le ubuntu qui fonctionne et supprimer celui qui ne fonctionne plus .

retour COMPLET et utilisable de commande  |  script montage partitions

MSI Z490A-pro , i7 10700 , 32 GB RAM .

Et une question bête:Ce n'est pas ubuntu 22.04 qui gère mon pc maintenant qu'il est installé, mais tjrs l'ancien ubuntu qui beug au démarrage?
22.04 ne sert qu'à démarrer???

pour recuperer les fichiers de l' ancien ubuntu :

sudo mount -v /dev/sda6 /mnt
xdg-open /mnt/home/$USER

il  ne te restera plus qu ' a naviguer dans les dossiers et deplacer tes données .

The default repair of the Boot-Repair utility would purge (in order to fix packages) and reinstall the grub-efi of
sda5,
using the following options:  sda1/boot/efi
Additional repair would be performed: unhide-bootmenu-10s use-standard-efi-file

 The current session is in BIOS-compatibility mode. Please disable BIOS-compatibility/CSM/Legacy mode in your UEFI firmware, and use this software from a live-CD (or live-USB) that is compatible with UEFI booting mode. For example, use a live-USB of Boot-Repair-Disk-64bit (www.sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd), after making sure your BIOS is set up to boot USB in EFI mode. This will enable this feature.

Le début de cette partition a ramassé une cochonnerie.   Je pense que tu as demandé l'installation du grub dans SDA5 au lieu de SDA. Ce genre d'astuce est prévu uniquement pour empêcher le MBR de se mettre à jour afin de conserver  le précédant O.S.  en responsable de la structure de boot.
D'ailleurs, cela semble fréquent dans ta méthode

Je ne comprends pas tout, loin de là....
Je te remercie pour le temps passé à décortiquer mon problème.
Réinstaller 24.04 sur le pc au lieu du disque externe me semble une priorité?
Et ensuite nettoyer ce vieil ubuntu qui beugue...?

Le ubuntu est bien installé sur le disque interne.

Soit tu dis au bios que le boot sur disque externe est prioritaire et tu branches le disque externe pour booter le ubuntu 24.04
Soit tu bootes comme tu as fais pour produire le boot-info et tu demandes à ubuntu de réinstaller le grub dans SDA

sudo grub-install /dev/sda
sudo update-grub
