affichage bureau

Bonjour
Je suis sur ubuntu 20 04 LTS et je n’arrive pas à garder un affichage définitif du bureau. A chaque ouverture il m’apparaît un nouveau bureau avec des espaces aléatoires sans pouvoir le réorganiser!!!
Comment palier à cette situation?

compte tenu des réponses et de ce que j'ai trouvé sur les forum il ne semble pas y avoir de solution pérenne!!??
