En théorie, la portée maximale du Wi-Fi G est de 100 mètres. En pratique, la plupart des box ADSL ne dépassent guère les 15 mètres en intérieur, dans le meilleur des cas. Même chose pour le Wi-Fi N ou le Wi-Fi AC : sa portée est en théorie de 250 mètres, mais là encore, difficile de dépasser les 20 mètres en intérieur. L’intérêt d’une box est de pouvoir diffuser les ondes Wi-Fi dans tout l’appartement ou la maison, aussi bien à l’horizontale qu’à la verticale. Par conséquent, pour qu’elle soit réellement efficace, placez si possible l’appareil au centre de votre domicile, afin de couvrir un maximum de surface.

Merci pour les infos, je vais regarder ça, possible en effet que ça joue chez nous.
Par contre dernièrement on était dans un gite avec un wifi très stable et accessible et j'ai eu les mêmes soucis de déconnexion régulière (par contre mon conjoint sur ses appareils non).

Il faut la commande lshw pour savoir quel est le périphérique qui génère des erreurs AER :
sudo lshwl'ath10k génére quelques erreurs AER sur certaines machines. Je ne pense pas que ce soit bien grave. Pour moi, le problème ne vient peut être pas de la machine, mais de la liaison avec la box. As tu la possibilité d'utiliser une autre box pour faire l'essai, ou un téléphone configuré en point d'accès WiFi?

je dois faire tourner cette commande n'importe quand ou seulement quand c'est planté ?
sinon j'ai eu l'occasion de tester récemment dans un gîte qui avait une bonne wifi et ça se déconnectait aussi de temps en temps. Si absolument nécessaire je testerai avec le wifi de mon téléphone mais il est vraiment puissant et ça me file une migraine pas possible au bout d'un moment, or comme c'est aléatoire pour tester je serai obligée de le laisser branché un bon moment.

N'importe quand, ça liste le matériel de ta machine.
Tu es connecté en 5GHz, tu as aussi le 2.4GHz, tu peux essayer sur cette fréquence, pour voir si ça change quelque chose.

PS : je viens de vérifier, apparemment je suis connectée en 2.4GHz présentement. (dans les paramètres de la box sur mon ordi, premier onglet, ça m'indique "Vitesse de connexion : 1 Mb/s (2,4 GHz)")
Sais pas si c'est normal que dans les sorties ça indique 5GHz et que là ça soit marqué 2.4 ?

si tel est le cas , dans les parametres de la box , il suffirait de desactiver le wifi 5Ghz .
Si j' ai dis n ' importe quoi , j ' en suis desolé

Salut iznobe,
Je te remerice (sincèrement) pour ton intervention. Je n'ai pas pris le temps de partager mon analyse (qui est incomplète pour l'instant).
Tout d'abord, tu n'as pas dit n'importe quoi : au #25, nous voyons les adresses MAC des bornes WiFi. La Livebox-9AA6 est effectivement bi-bande. L'interface ayant l'adresse MAC A4:3E:51:BD:9A:A6 est celle à 2.4GHz, celle ayant l'adresse MAC A4:3E:51:BD:9A:AB est celle à 5GHz.
Pour l'instant je n'arrive pas à déterminer la source de la déconnexion : est ce la box qui génère les déconnexions ou est ce la machine qui les génère.
Lors d'une recherche rapide, je suis tombé sur le fil cité au #40, dans lequel un conflit sur la machine aurait été identifié. J'essaie de voir si c'est la même situation.
Ton intervention m'a fait réanalyser les retours, et je suis passé à côté de quelque chose : les niveaux de réception ne sont pas terribles. (voir #25). La première chose à tenter serait peut être de rapprocher la machine de la box pour voir si les déconnexions sont liées à la qualité de la réception.

Bonjour,
comme je disais précédemment, il est certain que la qualité de réception n'aide certainement pas, mais nous étions dans un gîte récemment et mon ordinateur même à côté de la source du wifi, avec une réception pourtant excellente, se déconnectait quand même de temps en temps. De mémoire, il s'agissait notamment de difficultés à se reconnecter en sortie de veille, ça pouvait durer plusieurs minutes.
Concernant chez nous, nous sommes dans une maison (en loc, donc aucun moyen d'agir sur le logement lui-même) avec une seule prise téléphonique, à un bout de la maison. Donc il est tout à fait vrai que tous les remarques précédentes sur la bonne diffusion du signal wifi s'appliquent certainement. Les murs sont épais, et on voit le signal wifi s'amenuiser d'une pièce à l'autre.
Cependant au vu du comportement de mon ordi vs celui des autres machines + son comportement quand le wifi est bon, il me semble que mon ordi rencontre un souci supplémentaire qui ne semble pas lié à la qualité de réception (cf expérience du gîte).
Je vais tester en me rapprochant de la box comme je peux, ce n'est pas une pièce aménagée pour travailler il n'y a même pas de table donc il faut que je vois comment je m'organise. J'essayerai de venir faire le feedback quand je peux selon les essais, à mon avis pas avant ce week-end.
En plus d'observer le comportement de l'ordinateur, y'a-t-il des tests particuliers à lancer en étant plus proche de la box ?

Bonjour,
Je comprends. L'objectif pour l'instant est de poser un diagnostic. On sait qu'il y a des déconnexions en cours d'utilisation et c'est ça que j'essaie de résoudre.
La sortie de veille peut poser problème avec Linux, allant jusqu'à l'écran noir pour certaines machines. Et de plus, pour le gîte, nous manquons d'informations (pas de logs).

pour tenir au courant : j'ai approché en partie l'ordi de la box ce week-end, mais je n'ai pratiquement pas eu de déconnexion même ailleurs dans la maison ces deux jours, sais pas pourquoi, il y a des jours où ça le fait et d'autres non. Je comptais notamment profiter d'un moment où ça bugge pour voir si en me rapprochant de la box ça se reconnecte, mais du coup je n'ai pas pu tester ça.
Donc je vous re-tiens au courant quand j'ai du nouveau concret après mes essais.
