imprimantes et scanner ne fonctionnent plus

Bonjour à toutes et à tous,

je suis sur Ubuntu 16.04 LTS et depuis quelques jours, je ne parviens plus à utiliser mon imprimante (Samsung ML 1640) ni mon scanner (CanoScan Lide 25).
Les imprimantes installées sont en permanence sur pause :

et lorsque je relance la Samsung ML 1640 en cochant la case "activée" dans les paramètres, elle se remet automatiquement sur pause au bout de quelques secondes.

Pour le scanner, Simple Scan le reconnaît, mais lorsque je lance un scan, le scanner ne réagit pas et c'est un fichier entièrement noir qui apparaît dans le logiciel.

Sauriez-vous m'indiquer ce que je peux faire pour résoudre ces problèmes?

Je ne sais pas à vrai dire, mais ce qui est sûr c'est qu'il fonctionnait effectivement sans aucun problème depuis plusieurs années.
