[Resolu/marche impec] modifier grub pour ajouter windaube

En effet, ayant decider de passer definitivement a linux, j'ai jarté windaube et installer ubuntu.
Malheureusement je ne suis pas encore assez debrouillard pour tout faire sous linux.
j'ai donc installer windows 2000 sur un 2ème disque et j'aimerais maintenant pouvoir modifier le menu grub pour booter sur ce 2ème disque. Voici comment ca se presente :

dev/hda (DD de 40Go)

dev/hda1 ubuntu "/"
dev/hda5 ubuntu "swap"

dev/hdb (DD de 20Go)

dev/hdb1 win2000(fat32)
dev/hdb2 fat32 (pour mes docs).

je debute donc expliquer en detail SVP.

malheureuseument ca ne marche pas car je pense je n'ai pas le bon chiffre pour hd0,0 :

Il faut savoir comment est réglé ton bios.
Actuellement, tu peux démarrer ubuntu ? donc le bios est réglé pour démarrer sur hda.

Depuis l'installation de windows, tu as pu le lancer ? en modifiant le bios ?

Donc, si le bios est réglé pour démarrer sur hda, et sachant que windows est sur hdb, tu devrais avoir ceci dans menu.lst :

(Partie superieure à conserver)

title        Ubuntu, memtest86+
root        (hd0,0)
kernel        /boot/memtest86+.bin 
boot

en effet, j'avais regle le bios pour demarrer sur le disque identifié hda.
pour booter sous win200, jusque la je debranchais l'alim de hda et je mettais le cavalier de hdb en master (solution barbare mais efficace). => donc assez long et chiant.

Maintenant, je peux choisir un systeme sous grub en toute simplicité et je t'en remercie.

Alors, quelques brèves explications sur le paramétrage particulier que tu as passé.

Lorsque tu as installé windows, tu avais "caché" l'existence du disque hda.
De ce fait, tu as fait croire à windows qu'il était le seul et unique os de ton pc, et placé sur le seul disque dur. D'ailleurs tu as très bien fait, c'est bien plus simple ainsi.
Ensuite, pour pouvoir démarrer windows, il fallait lui faire croire qu'il était toujours sur ce seul et unique disque hda. C'est le rôle de map qui intervertit hda qui est (hd0) et hdb qui est (hd1). Grâce à map windows "croit" qu'il est sur hda. Pour autant sa véritable route est (hd1,0) qui se traduit par disque 2, partition 1.
