carte graphique intel82845g/GL ... jeux 3D rame

Salut à tous,
J'ai l'impression que mon ordinateur rame plus pour les jeux 3D sous ubuntu qu'avant sous windows. Meme ppracer rame lorsque que je dépasse une résolution de 800*600 !Comment corriger ce probleme ???

ordinateur : intel pentium 4 CPU 2.4Ghz
systeme : ubuntu 7.04
driver de ma carte graphique ont été télécharger via synaptique "...i810"
mon fichier xorg:

lorsque je tape glxinfo, l'accélération graphique est activée (direct rendering : yes)

Sur le forum j'ai lu un post qui indiquait de changer dans le fichier xorg dans la section device ... driver "i810" par "intel" et de télécharger les drivers correspondant ... bilan ca rame encore plus et l'accélération graphique n'est plus active. donc j'ai abandonné cette solution et là je ne vois plus ce que je peut faire.
