[Résolu][si on veut]Bureau 3D + nVidia + écran blanc sur Feisty
Bonjour tout le monde
Je suis ennuyé de poser une question qu'on retrouve partout mais vraiment je ne m'en sors pas.
Mon problème : Beryl ne fonctionne pas, il fait un écran blanc
Ma configuration : Feisty (upgrade depuis Edgy)
Ma carte graphique est une nVidia

00:05.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51G [GeForce 6100] (rev a2)J'ai bien activé le pilote propriétaire dans le gestionnaire de pilotes propriétaire, qui a une case cochée en vert avec statut "en cours d'utilisation". Lorsque j'active le bureau 3D je me retrouve avec un écran tout blanc et je dois cliquer à l'aveuglette pour qui le mode 3D et retrouver mon bureau. J'en viens à me demander si j'ai même vraiment la 3D activée...

Edit : j'ai effectivement un pb d'acceleration 3D je crois

Salut,
Via le gestionnaire de pilotes propriétaires, tu installes le paquet nvidia-glx. Il est censé fonctionner pour ta carte, mais....
Le mieux est donc d'utiliser le terminal qui, lui, te dira s'il y un problème.
Décoches donc la validation de la 3D dans le gestionnaire. Edites ton xorg.conf avec
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.confet remplace "nvidia" par "nv". S'il y a déjà "nv", ne fait rien. Si tu as activé le lancement de Beryl en automatique, désactive le temporairement.
Ceci fait, installe le pilote glx-new avec la commande
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-new
sudo aptitude install linux-restricted-modules-$(uname -r)
sudo nvidia-xconfigchacune de ces commandes se passe individuellement dans un terminal.
Pour le reste, voir le wiki nvidia, ou recherche nvidia dans la documentation du forum.

J'ai bien désactivé les pilotes propriétaires, puis j'ai installé le driver nvidia en suivant tes instructions et le wiki. Au début, ça n'a pas fonctionné, pour une erreur de version de module : j'ai trouvé la solution sur le forum (http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=915136) en désactivant le module "nv" (alors que j'avais bien nvidia dans mon /etc/X11/xorg.conf)
À ce stade, le serveur X se lance en affichant le logo nVidia toutefois au niveau de glxgears même résultat :

Colles ton xorg.conf, que l'on voit ce qu'il y a dedans. La commande
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.confPour la suite, il faudra, éventuellement rechercher vers

Pour l'erreur EDID, une petite recherche m'a fait trouver sur le forum quelques lignes à ajouter au xorg.conf, mais l'erreur apparaît toujours dans les logs.

(je demande car il me faut en graver un si je veux tester)

Bon ben finalement sans solution, j'ai réinstallé (de toute façon il fallait que je le fasse) et là ça a fonctionné du premier coup.

Tu avais certainement fait une mauvaise manip du genre, installer/réinstaller/désinstaller tout ça en mélangeant plusieurs façon de faire.
