NVIDIA legacy Erreur xlib

Salut à tous,

Je viens d'installer une feisty toute fraîche (kubuntu), j'ai une vieille geforce2 MX400, j'ai donc essayé d'installer les drivers legacy (méthode des paquets).
je remplace nv par nvidia comme indiqué, je relance....pas de logo nvidia au démarrage, l'écran est bien réglé maintenant (il était décalé avec le driver nv). Cependant l'accélération 3D est absente, glx gears me donne :

Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".

j'essaye :

nvidia-settings  qui me renvoie un charabia de deux km qui commence par
ERROR: NV-CONTROL extension version 1.6 is too old; the minimimum required
       version is 1.9.

ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA GPUs on ':0.0'.

ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA Frame Lock Devices on ':0.0'.

il me lance ensuite la fenêtre de conf nvidia avec un orphelin nvidia-settings configuration en haut à gauche sans rien d'autre à configurer

J'ai essayé de désinstaller, j'ai effectué la méthode manuelle avec le "legacy run.sh" sur le site nvidia,  nvidia-settings me renvoie alors une fenêtre plus complète mais tjs pas de 3D, ni de logo au démarrage.
j'ai rajouté
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "True" que dalle ou bien çà encore comme préciser dans un bug tracking:

re que dalle avec en plus un plantage de x, l'animation kubuntu du boot se fige puis un curseur clignote en haut. Mon xorg.conf actuel me permettant d'avoir x qui marche sans 3D est le suivant:

J'ai exactement le même problème que toi ... mais j'ai pas encore trouvé de solution.
