Probleme DRIVER NVidia (pour changer)

Bon , first ; ma carte graphique est une Nvidia GeForce4 MX 420 "On ne se moque pas ! big_smile"
J'ai testé toute les configurations possible avec les drivers apt , m-a RIEN a fonctionné ... SIII !! une fois une conf a marché mais IMPOSSIBLE des rajouté l'extention GLX ( obligatoire pour Beryl:P)

Puis j'ai testé les pilotes NVidia télécharger sur leur site.
Ctrl+Alt+F2 , killall gdm , sh /home/romain/Desktop/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run .
Tout fonctionne ( meme beryl '') YOUPIIII !!!
Mais quand je redémare , Gnome ne Fonctionne plus ...
Comment faire pour Sauvegarder la configuration avec les Pilote NVidia ?
Ou une autre solution ?

aie ... je me fais taper sur les doigts si je dit que je suis sur debian ? ( aie aie , pardon , dsl roll) Bon c'est vrais que c'est un peu exagéré de ma part ...
mais les Service aprés vente de debian est accez ... heu comment dire ... soft ( oubs ) bon mon Kernel 2.6.18-4-686 .
C'est grave Docteur ?

Avant d'installer tes drivers via "NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run", post ici une copie de ton fichier "/etc/X11/xorg.conf", puis refait ta manipulation, et logiquement à la fin Nvidia te redonner son fichier "xorg.conf" et post le également ici

Personnelement, Nvidia n'écrivait pas dans ce fichier, je perdais tout comme toi à chaque redémarrage !

J'ai la meme carte ! pas de raison de se moquer , beryl fonctionne très bien avec ! ca m'a toujours surpris d'ailleurs mais tant mieux
je suis sous Feisty donc j'ai installé le paquet nvidia-glx ..
pour debian je sais pas trop t'aider..

desactive le pilote nvidia de debian :
édite /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules ou /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common
pour avoir : DISABLED_MODULES="nv"

Voila !

desactive le pilote nvidia de debian :
édite /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules ou /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common
pour avoir : DISABLED_MODULES="nv"

Domage ! Je ne trouve ni /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules ni de /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common ...
arf c'est loin d'étre une erreur d'inatention de ma part , comme je le pencé .:/

Je signal également , que TOUT les drivers modules ... etc lol sont installer parfaitement ! ( .run )

Je pense que le problème est ici, edit le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf et remplace
[Driver         "nv"] par [Driver         "nvidia"]

1/ Fait une sauvegarde du fichier au cas ou :

sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.17042007

Tu auras juste a refaire en console :

sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.17042007 /etc/X11/xorg.conf

pour revenir dans ta configuration d'origine.

2/ Edit le fichier
- Pour Gnome (Ubuntu) :

gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

- Pour KDE (Kubuntu) :

kdesu kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Ou en console si tu connais...

3/ Redémarre pour vérifier.

Déja je tien a dire Bravo pour la clareté de ton explication ( pour info je l'ai édité en console ) j'ai fais comme tu ma dit malheureusement mon interface a refusé de démarer ! bon j'ai utilisé le fichier BackUp que tu ma fais faire tongue et mintenent sa remarche mais avec les pilote nv et non NVidia roll.

Aprés avoir suivi le post de chez NVIDIA j'ai rebooté et ........... NON ?!
arf , je commence à désespérer , si quelqu'un a une micro idée ; JE PREND !!!

ton problème ressemble a un conflit de module

desinstalle completement tout ce qui ressemble a nvidia ^^
pour etre sur le module nv

ensuite reprends l'installation du .run

sudo apt-get --purge remove nvidia-glx nvidia-glx-legacy nvidia-settings nvidia-kernel-common linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r` linux-restricted-modules-common
sudo rm /etc/init.d/nvidia-*
sudo apt-get clean

Bon est bien cela confirme ce que je pencé , à chaque reboot je paire tout ce qui consérne les pilotes NVIDIA ...

Aprés avoir fais la procédure ... le verdicte tombe ... encore un "non":/

REMOVING NVIDIA TLS LINK .... DONE

Cet ligne apperais quand je démare l'ordinateur , une piste ???

recherche linux-restricted-modules et desinstalle les paquets correspondant.

et une fois les drivers nvidia desinstallés c'est normal que tu n'ai plus d'accélération graphique
remet "nv" a la place de "nvidia" dans ton xorg le temps de reinstaller le driver.

car une fois que tu as tout nettoyé, tu peux tenter d'installer proprement le .run
