[beryl] aiglx & beryl pour kubuntu, c'est possible ?

Bonjour tout le monde

Je voudrais installer beryl alors que je suis sous Kubuntu, jusqu'ici pas de probème, c'est expliqué ici :

mais le problème c'est qu'avec il faut installer xgl ou aiglx. J'ai cru comprendre que aiglx était plus conseillé car moins lourd. mais je ne trouve pas de doc pour l'installer avec kde et notement avec kdm.

ma config :

kubuntu 6.10
kernel 2.6.17-11-generic
Nvidia 7900GS avec le "direct rendering" ok

question subsidiaire : pourquoi doit on installer aiglx ou xgl ? ne peut-on pas faire fonctionner beryl tout seul ?

Salut,

AIGLX est, à partir de la version 6.10, intégré au système. Il n'y a donc pas d'installation à faire. Plus d'infos sur AIGLX ici.

Au cas où je te copie mon xorg.conf (pour une nvidia 7600GS) avec les options qui vont bien.

en fait c'est ce lien qui m'a amener à poser cette question sur le forum :

il y est expliquer comment modifier gdm mais pas kdm et ne connaissant pas bien son fonctionnement je ne sais pas comment faire.

Salut,

euh, tu dois modifier GDM ou KDM seulement si dois passer par XGL (=> sois tu est sous Dapper, soit tu as une ATI et que tu veux utiliser les drivers proprios). Dans ton cas tu as une NVidia, il n'y a pas de problème. Tu installes les derniers drivers, tu installe beryl, et hop, c'est fini

pour installer le dernier driver il faut mettre celui des dépots ou l'officiel NVidia ?
