[Résolu] [Feisty][beryl-xgl][Ati X1400] Problème
bonjours à tous,
J'ai actuellement un problème avec l'installation de beryl sur la feisty...
J'ai un dell 9400 (ati X1400)
- J'ai installé les drivers proprios fglrx
- un "fgl_glxgears" me renvoi un beau cube qui tourne
- un "glxinfo | grep rendering" me renvoi : glxinfo | grep rendering
- un fglrxinfo me renvoi :
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
OpenGL version string: 2.0.6334 (8.34.8)
Le problème c'est quand je lance ma session xgl, puis que je lance beryl, les effets ne sont pas là (out se passe comme si je suis avec metacity)... je ne comprends pas pourquoi !

Salut lex111 on va pouvoir créé tous les deux une association des utilisateurs dell avec ATI qui marche plus sur Feisty

salut!
lance beryl depuis une console et donne nous les infos que ca t'envoie. en cas de plantage, beryl redonne la main a metacity, c'est ce qui se passe pour toi.
Maintenant il faudrait comprendre pourquoi, afin de t'aider a resoudre ton probleme

Alors quand je lance beryl-manager dans le terminal, beryl se lance normalement... aucune infos supplémentaire est donnée...
Et quans je fais un beryl --test-only j'obtient

En fait c'est bon j'ai trouvé ma réponse sur ce post !!! :

En fait beryl 0.21 ne marchait pas chez moi sur feisty il faut utiliser beryl 0.2
Pour cela, il faut
-désinstaller complètement tout ce qui touche à beryl
-enlever les dépots universe et multiverse (juste pour la manip ensuite il faut les remettre)
-rentrer cette commande dans un terminal : "wget http://ubuntu.beryl-project.org/root@lupine.me.uk.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -"
-mettre a jour les dépots
-réinstaller beryl & emerald
et puis c'est bon !!
Ca marche impek !

Salut, j'ai exactement le même problème que toi. Depuis que je suis sous Feisty Beryl ne marche plus.
J'ai bien essayé ta manip' mais ça ne marche toujours pas.
Quand tu dis réinstaller beryl et emerald, il faut simplement faire
sudo aptitude install beryl-manager emerald-themes

S'endormir au volant c'est très dangereux, s'endormir à vélo c'est très rare, s'endormir à pied c'est très con.
