Thunderbird et notification sonore de nouveaux messages

Bonjour,

Je fonctionne actuellement avec Kubuntu Dapper et j'utilise Thuderbird 1.5.0.2.

Je n'arrive pas à faire activer la notification sonore lors d'un message entrant. Le son système fonctionne mais si je lui dit de jouer un fichier personnalisé .wav, çà ne fonctionne pas. Je ne peux pas plus avoir un aperçu du fichier qui sera joué.

Selon Geckozone, les gens semblent pointer Alsa mais Alsa est déjà sur mon système et les autres applications nécessitant du son, sont bien fonctionnelles.

Sous Breezy, c'était ok mais sous Dapper, c'est non fonctionnel.

Salut,

je suppose que tu as essayé avec d'autres que fichiers que le .wav ?

As-tu essayé d'aller chercher ce fichier avec le navigateur de fichier et de double-cliquer dessus ? il faut s'assurer que le fichier son est bien valable.

Dans tous les cas, il faudrait essayer d'avoir un message d'erreur de thunderbird. Pour cela, il faut ouvrir un terminal, et taper :

mozilla-thunderbird

et lancer "l'aperçu" du son comme tu le fais déjà. Si quelque chose gène thunderbird, il affichera ses messages dans le terminal, et ça nous donnera des pistes de recherche.

Pensez à mettre [Résolu] dans le titre une fois votre problème réglé !

Les fichiers de son fonctionnent bien avec Mplayer et cie.

Je ne sais pas si ces lignes vous aideront mais je demeure disponible pour vous guider dans la résolution du pb.

La dernière ligne fut généré lorsque j'ai appuyé sur "aperçu"

Bonjour,
Sur mon dapper cela fonctionne. J'ai des fichiers .wav placés dans un dossier "sons" dans le Dossier personnel. Et pour l'arrivée du courrier j'utilise le fichier "notify.wav" de windows, car j'apprécie cette petite musique. C'est la même pour Evolution et Thunderbird.

Sous Dapper, en fenetre terminal, si tu lance un: sudo mozilla-thunderbird
et ensuite dans preference, jouer un son etc etc, choisi ton fichier wav et
clic sur apercu
( à ce moment , dans ta fenetre terminal, tu devrais voir /usr/bin/esd)

Alors, install 'esound' sois par Synaptic ou un petit sudo apt-get install esound
en terminal :-)

Malheureusement même après avoir installé esound, le même code est demeuré.

Après avoir scruté le code, j'ai installé le paquetage GDK pixbuff car je le voyais presque à toute les lignes. Mais rien n'a changé.

Je viens de faire une modification sur Kmix (particulièrement sur le bouton PCM qui était fermé) et le son personnalisé fonctionne.

Parfait, j'allais ré-écrire une autre réponse, mais il y en a plus besoin.

le problème venait bien d'esound qui n'était pas installé : on voit l'erreur "/bin/sh: /usr/bin/esd: Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type"

Moi, j'ai mais "arrive.wav" de gaim

Pensez à mettre [Résolu] dans le titre une fois votre problème réglé !
